Reading Music for Beginners: Rhythm Part 2 - with Chad Putka

Do you want to learn music more accurately and more quickly? Have you ever wondered about what different signs and symbols in the music mean, but have felt embarrassed to ask? Are you ready to get started on your journey as a music reader? Many barbershoppers with great singing skills would like to deepen their knowledge of music notation and theory but don’t know where to start. At the same time, even confident singers can sometimes feel intimidated to seek help with reading music. In this session we will share some knowledge, tools, tips, and practice resources in a supportive, “no silly questions” environment. Our goal is to get you started as you begin to read written music and to set you up for a lifetime of success in this aspect of musicianship.

This free, hour-long session will focus on reading rhythm, building on the foundation laid during the first session on rhythm held on Thursday, May 14th. If you didn't join us there, or want a refresher before you embark on Part 2, check out the recordings on our YouTube channel.
