Whats up!! Anthony here. I am so overjoyed that you are intertested in changing your life. Before we get started, there are a few things that I need to make very clear to you before you become a client of mine so I can be sure that we are on the same page and that my coaching style is what you are looking for.
First and foremost, I am an Orthodox Christian, and therefore, my training methodology will reflect that and will always be cenered in Christ. If that makes you uncomfortable or discourages you from pursuing me as a coach, I wish you nothing but the best, and may the Lord Jesus Christ bless, guide and keep you always.
For those of you who are interested, lets continue.
The concept of Nepsis comes from the Orthodox monastic tradition and is the CORE of this training methodology. The copncept of Nepsis is defined as the discipline of guarding the mind and heart against negative or destructive thoughts before they take root and dictate actions. It is derived from ancient Greek (νήψις), and translates to "watchfulness," "vigilance," or "sobriety." St. Hesychios the Priest defines nepsis as "a continual fixing and halting of thought at the entrance to the heart." It is often paired with constant mental recitation of the Jesus Prayer, ("Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner") to cultivate a peaceful, focused state of being in the present moment.
This state of constant awareness is the foundation on which I will build your program, and will be the overall determining factor in whether you achieve the results you want.
This methodology of spiritual mindfulness will be used to teach you how to become more aware of your body, to build the mind/muscle connection as well as make you aware of how your diet and sleep effect your state of being.
Although the training will be mainly for your physical body, as you become fully aware of your physical wellbeing (how training effects you, how certain foods/supplements/substances effect you, etc...) it willl help you to become aware of your mental wellbeing as well as your spiritual wellbeing and make the shifts you need so that you can become the highest version of yourself.
NOW THE DISCLAMERS
This is in no way going to be an easy process. Even though you may establish good habits, change is difficult and it will take a lot of willpower to maintain your discipline. I can show you how to get there, but I cannot give you your results. You will have to dig deep find that within yourself.
Each session will begin and end with prayer to ask God to bless and sanctify the work we are doing.
We will check in once every other week.
We may or may not make adjustments to your plan depending on if things are going well. Remember, progress takes time, so be patient!
Please be prepared to video-record at least one set per exercise. If your form and intensity look solid, we may not need training video check-ins as frequently.
Progress photos will always be required to help me make an accurate assessment at each check in. I may also ask to see photos of your meals for accountability purposes.
Both resistance training and cardio will be expected.
Training sessions will take approximately 2 hours, including cardio.
I will always set realistic expectations for you.
I will never lie to you even if the truth is uncomfortable for you to hear.
Coaching is a two-way street. The more you give to me, the more I can give back to you. If our communication is clear and honest, and if you stick to the program, you will absolutely see the results you want.
All communication will be through WhatsApp. It is a simple and free system, and even the top coaches in the professional bodybuilding world use it.
I reserve the right to terminate my services if you repeatedly skip check ins, demonstrate very poor communication, consistently ignore the plan, or demonstrate immaturity.
I require all clients to be at least 18 years of age.
My goal to see you transform physically and mentally and spiritually. Change is difficult. I cannot help someone who is too stubborn or lazy to accept change, but if you are willing to learn and follow the plan, you will absolutely be a good fit for this program.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need to budget additional money for food and supplements, as well as any food prep qeuipment you may need such as a food scale, shaker botle, meal perp containers, etc...
