  • Rules & Eligibility

    Open to middle school and high school students.

    Each participant may submit only one poster.

    All work must be original.

    Must submit poster to link provided in email following the submission of this registration by Friday, May 15th, 11:59pm PST. *If you do not receive an email 48 hours after your registration please reach out to neuroscience.nation@gmail.com for assistance*

    Poster Requirements
    Format:

    Must be a digital poster (PDF format only).

    Size: 24x36 inches (recommended) OR standard 16:9 presentation format.

    File name format:
    LastName_FirstName_PosterTitle.pdf

    Required Sections:

    Your poster MUST include:

    • Title
    • Author(s) & School
    • Introduction/Background
    • Research Question or Hypothesis
    • Methods/Materials
    • Results (graphs, charts, or findings)
    • Discussion/Conclusion
    • References (APA format)

    Visual Requirements:

    • At least one visual (graph, chart, diagram, or data table).
    • Text must be readable on screen during Zoom.
    • Avoid overcrowding.
    • Proper citations required.

    Academic Integrity

    • No plagiarism.
    • AI tools may be used for grammar assistance only.
    • Participants must fully understand their research and be able to explain it live.
    • Judges may ask questions to verify authenticity
    • Failure to follow integrity guidelines = disqualification.

    Presentation Rules

    Each participant/team will have:

    • 5–7 minutes to present
    • 2–3 minutes for judge Q&A

    Cameras must be on.

    Professional attire recommended.

    Poster must be screen-shared during presentation.

    Awards:

    1st Place — $50 Prize + Certificate
    2nd Place — Certificate
    3rd Place — Certificate

    Certificates will be emailed after the event.

    Submission Deadline

    Posters must be submitted before the deadline listed on the application form.

    Late submissions will not be accepted.

    Code of Conduct

    Respect judges and other participants.

    No disruptive behavior.

    Maintain professionalism at all times.
