Welcome to the NLP Football Academy Job Placement Program. Please ensure you are up to date with all the information enclosed, and complete the forms to the best of your knowledge.

We offer a number of programs and pathways in sports via two avenues, FOOTBALL COACHING & FOOTBALL SCOUTING. Costs to participate are subsidized for a nominal fee and we are seeking a number of beneficiaries across all boroughs. The program is structured for you to complete remotely and in-house locally so you would not need to come into our academy centers to take part.

Project - Trainee Football Coach / Scout Employability Program

Aim: The programs aim is to make the trainee more attractive to prospective employers in sport, predominantly football, by providing the participant with accredited training where they will receive a certificate, and practical work experience which we will arrange in football coaching, and football scouting before providing an employment reference.  

Following completion we will aim to secure a permanent position or continued work experience or training for the participant.

Program Overview: This is an entry level CPD accredited qualification which can also be held alongside conventional courses such as the FA Coaching Level 1 and 2, and FA Introduction to Scouting.

There is no minimum qualification requirement to be eligible to apply for this program and outcomes and results are delivered after a minimum of 48 hours assessment.

Requirements: All trainees backgrounds welcome and be able to commit to travelling on specified days.

Length of program: 4 weeks training and job placement or work experience, followed by a permanent role offer as a coach, scout, or consultant and employment reference on completion.

Cost to participate: £45 (Travel Expenses to be covered by the participant). You will have the opportunity to complete the available online courses below:

NLP Coaching Course Level 1 – Provides an introduction to coaching practices at an academy level

NLP Coaching Course Level 2 – Provides further insight and training into coaching practices in different positions

NLP Football Scouting Course Level 1 – Provides an insight into the process of scouting a player at an elite level and what it entails

NLP Football Scouting Course Level 2 – Provides a deeper insight into scouting elite level players in specific positions

Please note payments are non-refundable but can be carried over to a new start date within 3 months or primary registration.

Pathways: Those with aspirations to become sports tutors could benefit the most from completing this program. Successful trainees can go on to become sports coaches, football coaches, football scouts, or football agents.

Stages

Remote Online Theory - Trainees will complete modules in a number of online courses up to 3 days access self paced and guided by our lead tutors.  

Coaching Work Experience - Trainees will be allocated to our partner football teams to undertake coaching to their players.

Scouting Work Experience - Trainees will be placed as scouts and will assist in a role recruiting players with for our partner clubs

Each work experience will run for up to 4 weeks for 1 - 2 days per week or a long term permanent role.

Offer Of Employment- Outstanding trainees can also be offered a permanent role as football coaches, scouts or agents, and should they wish to turn down the offer we will provide them with an employment reference which they can take forward to further opportunities along with their qualification certificates.

 

Criminal Record Checks: As you will be working with children, all trainees are expected to either come into the program with a recent Enhanced DBS, or will need to complete one with us prior to undertaking any practical work experience. New DBS's can take anything from 1 week onwards.

Disciplinary: The agreement can be terminated by the football academy with immediate effect for gross misconduct by the trainee following an investigation if the trainee is deemed to have broken the terms of the agreement and rules of operation i.e. accepting cash in hand from members, promoting activities not run under the football academy during football academy coaching hours, or going AWOL for a maximum of 7 days without written consent on more than one occasion. The agreement can also be suspended until pending investigation, or until further notice, or terminated with immediate effect should you misuse the terms of the online portal I.e providing access to unauthorised personnel. Your agreement can also be terminated with immediate effect if after an investigation has concluded you have deemed to abuse another individidual or group of people i.e. racially, sexually or with threats or incitement of violence as well as sharing or posting sexual images or videos without consent. All communication with club contacts must take place within the Portal. Should you attempt to request contact with club contacts outside of the portal you will be in breach of your agreement, your access will be disabled, your agreement terminated and you will be locked out of the portal indefinitely. The trainee will have a maximum of 6 months to complete the program, anything over 6 months the trainee will need to complete re-registration unless the trainee presents a valid reason prior to end of 6 month period for which they can request an extension.

Exit strategies: Should the trainee wish to end this agreement anytime prior to end of the agreement, they must do so in writing and allow the football academy 28 days to locate a suitable replacement. This option means the agreement ends with immediate effect after the 28 days and the trainee will no longer be entitled to receive the benefits of this agreement. If the trainee leaves their post anytime before the 28 days they will not be entitled to any benefits under this agreement, costs or expenses reimbursement, or refunds.

Relationship between both parties: The trainees relationship with the football academy will be that of an independent contractor and nothing in this agreement is intended to or should be constructed to create a partnership, agency or employment relationship. The trainee will not be entitled under this agreement to any of the benefits that the football academy may make available to its employees, including but not limited to liability insurance, profit-sharing, retirement benefits, paid vacation, holidays or sick leave or workers compensation insurance.

Ownership of property and materials: The trainee acknowledges and agrees that any and all documents produced by the trainee, including but not limited to memoranda, research notes, correspondence, emails, pleadings, and reports during the course of his work for the client, shall be the sole property of the football academy and the trainee shall retain no ownership, interests or rights therein. Trainee agrees any media i.e. pictures and videos created during sessions may be used by the football academy for promotional purposes.
