  • Mother’s Day Art Market Application

  • Thank you for your interest in sharing your artwork with our community!

The Novelty Collective is working to ensure that the Mother's Day Art Market experience is the very best it can be for vendors & patrons alike. Please read the following before you begin completing the application forms:

    Our Commitment

The Novelty Collective is a creative community & a Christian organization dedicated to providing plentiful resources & new opportunities to the amazing artists (like you) who panticipate in our programs & events. It is our desire that all who join us feel seen, valued, & empowered. Likewise, we hope to foster an atmosphere of warmth & welcome at our events for each & every guest regardless of age, ability, beliefs (creed), gender, ethnicity, identity, socioeconomic status, or background.

    Your Commitment

As a vendor, you play a vital role in exemplifying our values at this event. The environment we create is very dependent on you! Whether or not you share all of our values, we only ask that you help us ensure that every vendor & every patron feels welcome & cared for over the duration of the event.

Additionally, we humbly request that each vendor pays a suggested donation of $30 to help us cover the cost of hosting this event.

    Questions?

  • Vendor Stalls & Displays

The Mother’s Day Art Market will be held indoors. Space & electric power are limited. WiFi will be available; however, vendors should come prepared with a secure cashbox in addition to their preferred digital POS systems.
  • Check-in & Market Schedule

What to expect from the time you arrive through the end of the day.
  • Check-in

Check-in & setup for vendors will begin at 9:30 AM EST on the morning of the event. Vendors should check in no later than 10:00 AM EST. When you arrive, NoCo Staff will be on site to direct you to your stall & help load in your wares. The earlier each vendor is checked in, the more our team can do to help each vendor prepare for the day.

    Market Schedule

The Mother's Day Art Market will begin at 11:00 AM EST, & end at 6:00 PM EST on May 3rd, 2025. All vendors are expected to maintain a presence at their stalls for the duration of the market schedule. You are free to make short-term arrangements with other market vendors or NoCo Staff to watch your stall if you need a break for food, fresh air, & other activities.

Our team will be on call to answer your questions & accommodate your needs in whatever ways we can. As long as we all practice clear & timely communication, there shouldn't be a challenge that we can't overcome together!

After the art market is closed, vendors will have until 7:30 PM EST to pack up & vacate their stalls.

  • Workshops

Workshops can be a fun & exciting way to share your creativity with others at the art market. Please tell us if you are interested in leading one!
  • How the workshops will be set up:

    • Workshops will take place inside The COVE Art Center near next to the vending area.
    • Participation is open for everyone.
    • The number of open spots for each workshop will be determined by the availability of space & art supplies.
    • Workshops can run between 30 minutes to 1 hour.

What we expect from a Creative Workshop instructor:

    • Workshop instructors should secure their cashbox & personal valuables before leaving their vendor stalll to teach their class.
    • Prepare the workshop area for their class at least fifteen miniutes before it is scheduled & remain until the workshop area is cleared.
    • Please come with a lesson plan & any special art supplies you will use or distribute for the class.
    • Be ready to create & teach at the same time in a small-to-medium-sized group setting.
    • Prepare to give clear & concise instructions in a noisy, fast-paced environment & deliver a clean, finished product by the end of the lesson.

What you can expect as a Creative Workshop instructor:

    • It’s your workshop, which means you get to decide what to teach! We suggest you keep the project basic so nothing is too difficult & time-consuming for the beginner.
    • We want to make this enjoyable for instructors & participants alike, so we will do our absolute best to gather any art supplies & tools you need to teach your class! If you are interested, please include an exhaustive list of the materials you might need in the space provided.
    • We do not have the budget to pay you, but we will provide an obvious tip jar labeled with a suggested donation amount to collect money for each workshop instructor.
  • Community

    Let’s grow together!
  • We love to make new & lasting connections, building meaningful relationships with artists & introducing them to one another. We want this event to generate more interest in your artwork & our own endeavors. Please help us spread the word about the Mother's Day Art Market & what NoCo is all about. We hope to produce a lot of content during the event that you can use for your own personal & business purposes. Let's grow together in community!

If you do not receive an invitation to vend at the Mother's Day Art Market, that does not disqualify you from future opportunities, & we hope you will consider attending!

Don't forget to explore more of The Novelty Collective (NoCo) website & our social media to find out more about the community, as well. We hold an annual music & arts festival in Pittsburgh, PA, in early November (exact dates TBA). Be on the lookout for a NoCo Fest 2025 application!
