4 - Records Required:
An evaluation of your foreign degree or credits must be completed by an evaluation service approved by the State Bar of California before an admissions decision can be made.
Please note that an official, hard copy, "course-by-course" evaluation is required to be delivered to our office address:

While we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the following instructions, since the State Bar has control of their website and its contents, the following steps should direct you to the list of evaluation companies approved by the State Bar of California:
1. Go to the State Bar of California webpage: (www.calbar.ca.gov) and select "Admissions" from the blue menu on the right of the page.
2. When the admissions page opens, select "Requirements" from the blue menu bar.
3. When the requirements page opens, select "Education" from the dark grey menu at the left side of the screen.
4. When the education page opens, scroll down the page to the section titled "Foreign Education." Click on the link in that section that says "requirements for foreign applicants." This will open another new page that says "Foreign Education."
5. On the foreign education page, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, and just above the dark blue box that has the addresses, you will find several links. The one you need is titled "List of Credential Evaluation Services Approved by the Committee of Bar Examiners."

Regular Student Status:
If you are accepted into our program, you will qualify as a "regular" student and will be exempt from the requirement to take the First-Year Law Students Exam upon successful completion of the first year of studies at NWCU.
