IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Thank you for your interest in the 24-25 Instructional Year. We are a small, holistic faith based school. Currently (this is ever changing), we have the following openings for the upcoming instructional year:
INCLUSION CLASSES: Limited openings: K, 1st-5th grade, 6th-8th grade. What is an inclusion classroom? At our school, an inclusion classroom means that some students may need additional supports (remedial or gifted) & all students benefit from our faith based, holistic (hands on, project-based learning with lots of outside time for all grade levels-weather permitting) education model. Additionally, our student/staff ratio supports optimal learning opportunities. If needed, our resource teacher "pulls out" students to provide remedial or gifted support.
ESE CLASSROOM Limited openings 4th-8th grade (if we open an additional classroom which is to be determined). What is an ESE classroom? At our school, an ESE classroom is comprised of students that may have one or more learning disorders, intellectual disability, or just need more support than our inclusion classroom setting can provide. ESE students benefit from our faith based, holistic, hands on, project-based learning model. We offer small group learning with other students working at the same academic level (additionally, our resource teacher "pulls out" students that need additional assistance), which supports optimal learning opportunities.
WAITLIST 9th-12th grade-Inclusion and ESE classrooms (We do our best to update this form as often as possible, however, there may be other classes that go on waitlist)
BEFORE/AFTER CARE: Starting August 2024 (24-25 Instructional Year), we are no longer offering before and after care due to lack of interest/minimum of 5 students not being met.
You must submit this form to be considered for the 24-25 instructional year (you can also utlize this form to be added to our waitlist if a spot is not currently available). Also, all students seeking admission must spend at minimum one week "trialing" in a classroom and complete STAR assessments to determine if Ocala Preparatory Academy is a good fit. During the summer, a minimum of two weeks trialing is required
