Paws Humane Society Field Trip Request Form

Paws is excited to offer field trips for all grades, K-12. Fields trips are available on a first come, first served basis and will sometimes be unavailable due to holidays, staff availability, or other factors. Groups must have a minimum of 10 students.
The following packages are available:

Package 1:

Length: 1 hour

Includes an orientation to Paws, a presentation with Q&A time, and tour of the Adoption Center. Students may be able to meet a cat or dog depending on availability at the shelter.

Maximum Students: 30

Provided: Weekdays beginning at 10:00, 10:30, or 11:00 a.m.

Cost: $5/student (no charge for adults)

Package 2:

Length: 1 hour, 30 minutes

Includes an orientation to Paws, a presentation with Q&A time, and tour of the Adoption Center. Students may be able to meet a cat or dog depending on availability at the shelter.

At end of tour, students will be allowed to read to the cats and dogs. Please have students bring any book of their choosing with them.

Maximum Students: 30

Provided: Weekdays beginning at 10:00 or 10:30 a.m.

Cost: $10/student (no charge for adults)

Note: Paws is an animal shelter and, as such, cannot guarantee that an animal suitable for interaction will be available. All efforts will be made but student interaction with a dog or cat is never guaranteed.

We receive many requests for Scout troops and other groups to visit in the afternoon and on weekends. These are available by appointment, so please specifiy this when you fill out the "Possible Dates" box below.

Allergy Information

Field trips are not recommended for children with allergies to pets, pet dander or nuts. Paws houses dogs, cats and small animals on a daily basis. Dogs are given peanut butter daily and many treats contain nut allergens. For this reason, we do not recommend that children with these allergies participate in field trips at Paws. Please email education@pawshumane.org for more information.
Payment and Cancellation Information

Payment must be received within 14 days of your visit, unless previous arrangements have been made. Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the date of your visit and must be received in writing via email to qualify for a full or partial refund depending on circumstances.
