  • The Pennington County Humane Society manages and maintains a Pet Food Pantry for residents of NorthWestern MN when they need a little help providing food for their pets. Our pantry is a source of sustenance for pets on a short-term, emergency basis.

To obtain pet food from our pantry, we ask pet owners complete our online form, and bring a copy of their driver’s license to our Pet Food Pantry located in the Pennington County Humane Society.

We understand that pet owners may face financial hardships at times, after three months, we will require proof of unemployment, disability or government assistance. While we strive to provide pet food and our pantry is stocked through the generosity of our donors we are unable to guarantee the availability of food. Please call 218-681-8045 for inquiries about pet food.

  • The Pet Pantry offers temporary assistance to help individuals and families in need feed their pets and should not be viewed as a permanent source of pet food. The Pet Pantry does not donate to anyone breeding, selling, or flipping animals, and it reserves the right to refuse anyone under any circumstance, such as someone who is a breeder. By submitting this form, you agree to the following guidelines:

    1. All pet food is provided on an “as available” basis and free of charge. Supplement amounts may vary depending on the supply on hand.

    2. I understand that the goal is to provide supplemental food to animals whose owners are in financial need and not intended to be the sole food source for my pets.

    3. I understand The Pet Pantry cannot be held responsible or liable for any adverse reactions sustained from any food donated to me for my pets.

    4. The information I have provided is true and correct. I understand that any false information provided will result in permanent termination from this program.

    5. Aggressive and/or disrespectful behavior is not tolerated and disqualifies the applicant from future assistance.

    6. Understand that all pet food is donated and may not be the current brand you use to feed your pet, which may upset your pet’s stomach.

     7. Agree not to hold The Pet Pantry, its volunteers, and benefactors legally liable in the unfortunate event your pet(s) become ill, or the food upsets a pet’s stomach.

     8. Recipients agree not to resell, redistribute, or attempt to return to a store, any food or care items received from The Pet Pantry.

     9. The Pet Pantry will make every effort to consider special requests for certain formulas or flavors of dog and cat food (i.e., Senior, indoor, etc.), but are only able to give what is available at the time of the request.
