Please note that these vaccinations and other veterinary care must be given 48 hours or more prior to transport but must be current. Each pet must also have a collar, leash, and a bag of their current food with their call name labeled on the bag.
Medical Emergency
Should there be a medical emergency while in route, the original owner will be contacted immediately and is responsible for all care regarding the pet. If there is a specific emergency vet the owner would like to be used that does not cause the Transporter to detour their route then the information will need to be given directly to them as soon as the client is contacted. Should the emergency vet of choice cause a detour then the client is responsible for any extra gas mileage or charges that may occur. The Transporter is not liable for any emergency that may ensue while in route. Should a death occur while in route, the Transporter will offer to pay for a necropsy to find the cause of death and if it was caused by an issue they could have prevented, the Transporter will reimburse the client in full. However, if the death was caused by an issue the Transporter could not prevent then no refund will be given. In order for the Transporter to file an insurance claim for the death, the client must provide full proof of medical care that had been previously given.
If a dog is transported that has a contagious infection but is unknown or not disclosed to the Transporter, and it affects other animals while in transport, the original owner of Patient 0 is responsible for reimbursing any other clients who’s animals may be affected.
