CONTEST RULES

1. Contestants must pre-register in order to enter the contest. There is no entry fee.
2. Judges will be giving awards in the following categories.
-Best overall taste
-Presentation and color of chili
-Best consistency
The decision of the judges will be final.
3. Chili must be a warm stew made with a combination of meat, beans, or vegetables, along with tomatoes and other vegetables and spices.
4. Please make at least 3 servings of the chili. Sterno warmers are available.
5. Bring chili in a container or pot of your choosing. Report to the family stage at 2:00 pm on Sunday. Judging will start at 2:30 pm.

By submitting this application the applicant and any individual respresenting them agrees to abide by the Rules and Policies for Pumpkinfest Chili Cook Off Contest. They agree that the City of South Lyon and the South Lyon Area Pumpkinfest's Executive Committee, shall not be held liable for any injuries, damage, loss of property or inventory of any kind. His/Her and their heirs, administrators, successors and representative or any other person or organization which may follow them shall hold the South Lyon Area Pumpkinfest harmless to any event or issue. Furthermore, applicants hereby, fully and forever release The City of South Lyon and The South Lyon Area Pumpkinfest's Committee and its volunteers from any and all causes of action, claims or demands of any nature, whatsoever arising out of this event. Furthermore, the applicant hereby confirms that he/she has the legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of the baker or applicant. The applicant also agrees that he/she has read and understands the policy of this application and agrees that he/she and any individual representing their organization will abide by it’s terms herein.
