In an effort to respond faithfully to our current situation and the evolving needs of congregations, the Administrative Commission for Transformation (ACT) has created a new grant specifically to help member churches of Pittsburgh Presbytery stay connected and to transition their work to new formats. The COVID Connection & Transition (CCT) Grant will provide up to $1,200 to fund new connectional efforts (within congregations and to their broader communities) or to transition existing connectional efforts to digital and other socially distanced formats.
Examples: If you run a VBS program that cannot meet this summer due to COVID-19, this grant can help with transitioning VBS to a new format such as digital/mail/drop off packages. If other programs need to move online and you lack basic equipment, this grant can help.
We have sought to streamline the CCT Grant application process and will review and administer them on a rolling basis.
This grant is for immediate needs and to keep your congregation connected to your members and communities. If you are considering long-term ideas about transitioning worship and programs online, we encourage you to apply for an Enhancement Grant which awards up to $4,000 but is a longer process. You may receive a CCT Grant regardless of if you have received other ACT grants this year. The CCT Grant is limited to one/church.
Please contact the Rev. Rebecca DePoe or the Rev. Laura Bentley, Co-Chairs of ACT, if you have any questions.
