    The Global Congress on Intellectual Property and the Public Interest is the is the main convening point for a global network of over 800 researchers, activists, and practitioners who work on the intersection of intellectual property and promotion of the public interest.

    The Fifth Global Congress will be held at American University Washington College of Law September 27-29, with application-only trainings and strategy meetings taking place September 24-26. 

    The specific policy goals of the Congress were summarized in the 2011 Washington Declaration on Intellectual Property and the Public Interest. Further information, including a draft schedule, is available at http://infojustice.org/globalcongress2018  

    INSTRUCTIONS

    Use this form to apply to present or host a public or private session at the Congress, or during the three-day Pre-Congress training and strategy meeting period.

    Presentations and sessions are sought that release research or describe policy proposals or advocacy strategies of relevance to public interest intellectual property law reform. To "host" means that you will make an in-kind contribution of time and perhaps other resources to organize and ensure the participation of the essential contributors to the session.

    Your organization may become a sponsor by pledging to contribute to the costs of your session directly or in-kind. Sponsored proposals will not be guaranteed acceptance, but, once accepted, will be prioritized in the Congress schedule.
