The International Intellectual Property Alliance has asked the US Trade Representative to sanction South Africa for considering the adoption of a progressive Copyright Amendment Bill that would adopt fair use, extend disability access rights to all disabilities, put in place model provisions (from Electronic Information for Libraries model) for education, libraries, archives and museums, require that creators be included in royalties for profitable works, and that rights revert to creators after 25 years.
