Greetings! This registration form is for your tour of the CSWM Regional Organics Facility on Saturday, September 21. This is our inaugural public tour and we are thrilled to welcome you to our facility to share with you how we take care of your compost. The event will include a walking tour and an “up close” opportunity to learn about how we manage organics.

CSWM is currently updating our solid waste management plan to guide how we will manage solid waste over the next 10 years. We hope at the end of the tour you will provide feedback about what is important to you as we plan for the future.

To register, please fill out the form below, indicating the tour time you will be joining us for. There are three tours repeating throughout the day, please select one timeslot. Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour.

Location: Regional Organics Compost Facility (Campbell River), 6700 Argonaut Rd., Campbell River. Follow the signs. You will be directed where to park once you arrive. Map here.

Your safety and comfort are a priority. Please keep in mind:

We ask that you wear closed-toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
Take care of your personal needs with sunscreen, snacks, a bottle of water, and a hat for sun protection, as we will be getting on and off the bus.
There will be no food available on site.
Be prepared for slightly uneven ground.
The walking tours will be approximately 45 min long. Plan for you time at the site to be up to 1.5 hours total.

Risks include but are not limited to, moving vehicles, uneven ground surfaces, heat, odours and slopes. In consideration of the permission to enter the Regional Organics Compost Facility (Campbell River), I hereby release and discharge the Comox Valley Regional District and its elected officials, officers, employees, contractors and agents from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, suits, expenses, fees or demands whatsoever which I or anyone else has or may have against the Comox Valley Regional District arising out of or connected with my presence at the Regional Organics Compost Facility (Campbell River), including, without limitation the condition or operation of the facility by the Comox Valley Regional District, its elected officials, officers, employees, contractors and agents.*
