A collection and shipment fee of $350 per shipment will be charged. If Mare Owner is picking up semen, then the fee is $200. A credit card will be required for payment of shipping/pick up fees when ordering shipments from Switzer-Hill Horses. Return shipment of equitainer is Mare Owner’s expense and there will be a $250 fine for equitainers not returned to Switzer-Hill Horses within three days of receiving shipment. Shipment will be made to a location at which the semen must be picked up on the day of arrival of shipment. **For Saturday Delivery: Fedex will not attempt delivery at business locations if the business hours are listed on Google as being closed on the day of delivery (including Vet Clinics). If you are unsure or the business hours are closed on Saturday, it is best to ship to a residential address for Saturday Deliveries). Shipping and Breeding fees must be paid in full prior to semen being shipped.
Counter-To-Counter shipments will have additional fees beyond the $350 shipping fee, please inquire to Jeff Switzer for specific pricing on any Counter-To-Counter shipments.
Cooled semen is available on a first come first serve basis, with breeding priority on any given day for Mares on site at Switzer-Hill Horses. Stallions are collected Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sunday delivery not available and Saturday delivery subject to location. Therefore, we make no guarantees that cooled semen will be available for transportation on any given specific day. Switzer-Hill Horses and RP Racing Inc assume no liability due to weather or due to delays caused by Fedex. There will be a limit of (3) shipments per breeding season per mare unless additional shipments are approved by RP Racing Inc or Switzer-Hill Horses.
A request for cooled transported semen must be made to Switzer-Hill at least one day prior to shipping time. Failure to notify the day prior by 5pm CST, or failure to confirm shipments to Switzer-Hill by 8:00am CST on collection day, may result in refusal to ship semen.
**Shipments going to Canada or any Counter-To-Counter shipments, must be CONFIRMED THE DAY PRIOR TO COLLECTION DAY BY 3PM CST** (For Canadian shipments of cooled semen, advanced notice is preferred and appreciated when possible in order to ensure all paperwork is in order).
In the event that the stallion is unavailable for collection on a given day, Mare Owners may be given the option of a frozen semen shipment. Should the Stallion die or become unfit for breeding for any reason, this Agreement shall be terminated, void and of no legal effect, and the Parties shall be relieved of any further obligation hereunder.
Stallion fee is nonrefundable unless approved by RP Racing Inc. or Switzer-Hill Horses. If a mare fails to conceive during the current breeding season, she will be bred the next breeding season or Mare Owner may substitute an approved mare to be bred the next breeding season. Neither RP Racing Inc, Switzer-Hill Horses, nor any of its employees shall be liable for damages as a result of damage to the semen, any damage or delays to shipments caused by couriers, airlines, Fedex, etc., or as a result of a mare failing to settle.
A live foal guarantee will apply only to those mares who are certified by an attending veterinarian to have conceived and carried a pregnancy for 60 days or more from insemination and have been certified to have received the appropriate health shots throughout pregnancy. Return breedings under the live foal guarantee will be limited to one year with the option of substitution of an approved mare. A live foal is described as a newborn foal that stands and nurses without assistance. If a foal is born dead, there are return privileges only if RP Racing Inc (Rachel Primm), is notified within seven days of death and receives a veterinarian statement confirming death. In the case that a mare fails to settle during the current breeding season, mare owner must furnish written confirmation from attending veterinarian that mare did in fact fail to conceive as a result of shipped semen and mare will be rebred the following season or an approved substitution will be bred the following season. In the event that the Mare dies during the breeding season, the Mare Owner may substitute another mare, as may be agreed upon by both the Mare Owner and the Stallion Owner. Substitutions are subject to all rules and conditions of this contract and must have appropriate paperwork in place.
A “Breeders Certificate” will be issued for the foal conceived by this mating only when all fees have been paid in full, all required paperwork has been signed and sent back, the stallion owner has been notified that the mare is in foal prior to November 1, 2025, and when the mare has produced a live foal by this mating. This contract is neither assignable nor transferable. In the event the mare is sold or otherwise disposed of prior to birth, the “Live Foal Guarantee” will be void.
If more than one embryo is produced from a Stallion breeding under this agreement and if multiple embryos are transferred, Mare Owner must notify RP Racing Inc. (Rachel Primm) within 48 hours of transfer of embryo(s). If embryo transfers result in multiple pregnancies, Mare Owner must pay additional Stallion service fee at 60 days of confirmed pregnancy in order to receive a certificate for the additional foal(s). In the event than an embryo is sold, the live foal guarantee will be null and void.
The parties acknowledge that this agreement is made and shall be considered to be entirely performed within the State of Texas and shall be construed and enforced under the laws of the State of Texas. The contract shall be binding upon the parties hereto, upon execution hereof and may not be altered or amended, except by written mutual consent of the parties hereto.
A photostatic copy, both sides, thereof the registration papers on your mare must accompany contract. The Owner recorded on a registration certificate will be recorded on the stallion breeding report. In the situation of a lease, a copy of the breeding lease that has been listed with the appropriate registry must accompany papers.
