Thank you for your interest in joining our Go Dark volunteer community for our 2024 program! Our team created the below form ahead of our next fall Industry Pipeline Program with the goal of identifying how we can best integrate you in our volunteer ecosystem as a Internship Host, Industry Mentor or a featured Executive Series Panelist/Guest Speaker for this fall and future cohorts. See below for a brief description of our volunteer areas of involvement (in ascending order of time commitment.) All volunteers must agree to meet with our Go Dark staff virtually or in-person ahead of the program's start date to coordinate their availability for the fall program.

The 2024 Fall Industry Program will begin in August & conclude in December (approximately 8-10 weeks, specific dates TBD)

Executive Panelist/Guest Speaker (Volunteer)

Expectations
1. Prepare for the topic discussion
2. Share your perspective based on previous/current experiences.
3. Engage with our other panelists/guest speakers/students
Overall, the role of a Panelist/Guest Speaker is to contribute to a productive and engaging discussion on a particular topic or issue. By sharing your perspective, with our students and team, you can help to create a dynamic and informative panel discussion or guest lecture.

Estimated time commitment: 3-4 hours (per one discussion)

Please note: All Go Dark Industry panels or intimate discussions may be recorded for re-distribution and educational purposes.

Industry Mentor/Feedback Session (Volunteer)

Expectations
1. Share knowledge and experiences with Go Dark cohort(s)
2. Provide guidance and support to current student(s)
3. Offer constructive feedback to mentee(s)
4. Act as a sounding board
Overall, the responsibilities of an industry mentor are focused on providing guidance, support, and advice to help your mentee develop professionally and achieve their goals. By sharing your knowledge and experience, providing constructive feedback, and building a positive relationship with your mentee, you can help them grow and succeed in their career.

Estimated time commitment: 1-2 hour session at the beginning and end of the program

Internship Host (Volunteer)

Expectations
1. Clear and open communication with Go Dark Staff & students
2. You'd be required to fill out a bi-weekly status report on your assigned intern to ensure growth of performance and student accountability
3. Provide professional development and networking opportunities
4. A minimum of 10 hrs/wk of prepared work for Go Dark intern
5. Provide on-site constructive feedback to respective intern
By taking these steps, Internship Hosts can build a strong relationship with Program Coordinators and college student program participants while contributing to a positive and valuable experience for all involved.

Please note: Internship Hosts will not be required to pay interns; however, the Go Dark program plans to offer students an industry standard stipend for participating in our program. Students will be selected and matched with their host after completing multiple rounds of interviews with our internal Go Dark team. If you would like to be a part of the interview process, please be sure to let us know ahead of the interview process.
