Before you start your application please read the Australian Government’s Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) regulatory framework so that you understand your rights and responsibilities as an international student before and during your study.

RuralMedEd formally engages with an extensive network of agents who can provide advice on your study options and guide you through the application process.

Please note: An international student is defined as anyone who is not an Australian citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen. If you’re not classed as an international student, visit our other courses to see how you can apply as a domestic student.

Gather the evidence required to apply for your Visa

Before you apply to study at RuralMedEd, you should check what documents and evidence you will need to provide to the Department of Home Affairs (HA) to support your visa application.

How to check what evidence you will need to provide to obtain a visa:

1. Visit the Document Checklist Tool page on the HA website
2. Select the country listed on your passport
3. Enter 04128G in the Education Provider CRICOS code field
4. Answer the final question: I am one of the following
5. Click the Display Evidence button
6. Read through the Documentary Evidence List to find out what you will need to submit with your visa application

Review Admissions criteria and key dates

• Statement of Purpose (The Statement of Purpose is an introductory essay that supports your application) 

Prepare your certified supporting documents

You must provide certified copies of key personal documentation translated into English. Please provide certified copies of your:

• Passport
• Academic Transcripts (mark sheets) and Award Certificate. (Certified official translation of any document not in English)
• English language test results

For Applicants who are already in Australia, additional documents are required:

• Current and Future Confirmation of Enrolments (COE) for studies in Australia

Applying as a mature aged student

Mature age students (at least 21 years of age and with work experience/other qualifications) may be admitted into a course without meeting the formal academic requirements.

The following documentation is required to support your application:

• Current CV
• References on company letterhead from current or previous employers

Students under 18

International students who are under 18 years of age and are applying for a student visa are required by the Australian Department of Home Affairs to have adequate welfare arrangements in place.

Where previous study/employment was conducted in English, submit a certified letter from the educational institution/employer confirming the language of instruction/employment was English.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

1. Be a new, full-time Student commencing in 2024 to RuralMedEd into the identified locations and courses; and
2.  Maintains full-time enrolment in a RuralMedEd nationally accredited qualification and location identified; and  
3. Maintains ongoing residency in Australia in accordance with the terms of your visa; and 
4. Can demonstrate for the entirety of the course, a commitment to their studies; and  
5. Attendance at all mandatory face-to-face sessions. If the Student cannot attend, a medical certificate must be provided to RuralMedEd and the Student must agree to complete the unit when it is next offered; and  
6. The Student must complete all online learning in line with the course schedule. If a Student cannot complete the learning within the specified schedule, the Student must notify the trainer/assessor and arrange to complete the online learning on a pre-approved schedule, or a medical certificate must be provided to RuralMedEd and a new schedule will be negotiated.

Complete all parts of this application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The application has three sections:

1. Your personal information including some demographic details;
2. Upload any supporting documents including a current resume or CV, certified copies of any certificates, qualifications and photo ID; and
3.  The applicant's declaration of their acceptance of the terms and conditions.
