Raleigh Mahj is your go-to for fun, friendship, and a shared love of mahjong. Whether you’re just getting into the game or you’ve been playing for years, our monthly open play events are the perfect way to connect, relax, and enjoy the tiles.
Here’s what to know about open play:
- Open play only – These are not teaching sessions. You’ll need to have taken at least one mahjong lesson or have prior playing experience.
- $15 per session – Pay per event; join as often as you'd like.
- We bring the tiles and racks – You bring your 2025 National Mah Jongg League card (please order directly from the NMJL, not Amazon).
Open play is ideal for players who know the basics and want to sharpen their skills, build confidence, or just enjoy a great game with friendly faces. We meet at rotating partner locations around the Triangle, so you can find a spot that works for you.
