First CONGRATULATIONS! We are so excited for the TWO of you and grateful that you have invited us to walk alongside you during this very special season.
Welcome to Covenant Conversations: Before We Say I Do!
Now, before you get nervous about the word counseling… 😂 Relax! Nobody is sitting on a couch while we stare at you and ask, “And how does that make you feel?” every five minutes. LOL!
Our time together is designed to be warm, honest, faith-filled, practical, and FUN. We want to create a safe space for the two of you to talk, laugh, learn, ask questions, discover some things about each other, and maybe even have a few “Wait…you really think THAT?!” moments.
Because here's what Taressa & I believe:
The wedding is one beautiful day. The marriage is the beautiful life you're building together with Christ as the head. Our goal is to help you prepare for both!
Throughout our Covenant Conversations, we'll talk about your relationship, communication, faith, family, finances, expectations, conflict, intimacy, friendship, your future, and what it means to intentionally build a Christ-centered marriage.
Some conversations will be easy. Some may make you think a little deeper. Some will probably make you laugh. And every conversation is designed to help you learn more about the person you've chosen to say “I Do” to. And don't worry—we're not expecting perfection. We're expecting participation, honesty, openness, and a willingness to grow together.
Session Schedules:
We will plan for 4 sessions.
The first and second sessions will be the two of you. The third session will be seperate sessions with both of you and I (on the same day, if you would like) and the final session will be a time of dinner, fellowship and prayer with Taressa joining us. (Location - TBD)
Our sessions will be held on Tuesdays at 6pm in my office, starting on Tuesday, September 16th, September 22nd, September 29th & our final session on October 6th.
*Please bring your couseling form for your marriage couseling discount to the 3rd session.
Before Our First Conversation:
Please take some time to complete your Covenant Conversations Couple & Wedding Worksheet and Love-Work Session 1. We'll use the information you provide to help guide our conversations and prepare you both for God's designed purpose for you!
Most importantly, Luke + Kyra, know that we are already praying for you. Not simply for a beautiful wedding, but for a healthy, joyful, loving, Christ-centered marriage.
We are excited to laugh with you, learn with you, challenge you when needed, pray with you, and help you prepare for the moment when... you say I Do!
