Diagnostic Fee for Repairs: Diagnostic Fee is $50. Reboot It will provide an estimate of cost and estimate time of repair after diagnostics. This $50 fee is WAIVED if you have the repair work completed through us. Remote repairs will require a deposit based on an estimate.
Estimates: Estimates will be provided to all repairs, and services. Once an estimate has been accepted, Reboot It will complete the repair or service.
Loss of Data: Data is the most important part of a computer system because it is often irreplaceable. Due to the process of repair, data may get damaged or at worst, deleted. You are responsible for backing up your own data. Reboot It will attempt a data backup before any repairs that may cause data loss. Reboot It will not accept liability for any loss of data as a result of computer repair request.
Impact of Upgrades/OS Refresh: Please be advised that it is your responsibility to understand the impact of upgrades to the operating system, applications and utility software. Such upgrades can lead to incompatibilities and the possible loss of data. Computer hardware and software work together and incompatibility may not become apparent until a later date. You are responsible for contacting the manufacturer of your software regarding compatibility issues before you request any upgrades. For OS Refresh, provide list of software/licenses to install software needed after refresh.
Right to Refuse: In its sole discretion, Reboot It reserves the right to refuse work that it believes is beyond the scope of its ability or for other good cause.
Ownership: You must own and demonstrate ownership of any software that is to be installed or re-installed on your computer by Reboot It by providing the appropriate keys and/or serial numbers.
Liability: Service(s) are provided in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the computer system(s) for which you request such service(s). Your system will not be intentionally harmed. The primary goal is to fix your computer, not damage it. In the case of accidental damage of data to your system or data loss caused by already existing problems in your system such as viruses, bad configured software, or hardware problems/failures -You agree to hold Reboot It and any person(s) associated with Reboot It or involved in the work being done for you harmless from damages resulting from such problems.
Privacy: Reboot It will not browse through your hard drive looking at your data; however, they may inadvertently see data during the course of their work. Please remove any personal or private files you do not want others to see. Additionally, Reboot It may be required to report illegal content including unlicensed software or data such as images or videos to law enforcement agencies if discovered.
Abandonment: If you do not pick up or schedule drop-off of your equipment within ninety (90) days after we notify you that the requested service is complete, we will treat your equipment as abandoned. You agree to hold Reboot It harmless for any damage or claim for the abandoned property. Any and all charges are still your responsibility.
Scope of Work: Reboot It will only perform the work agreed upon when you bring your equipment in for repair. You must authorize, in writing (email or text), any additional work which may be required.
Billing Terms: Computer services/repairs are billed as stated on the service order provided. An estimate of cost for work will be provided before performing computer services/repairs. Estimates are not guaranteed. In the case that there is an unforeseen deviation, beyond the above estimated amount, every effort will be made to contact you and inform you of the situation and receive authorization to continue or stop at the estimate limit. In the case that you cannot be reached, work will stop until contact is established. Once reached, your decision to continue or stop will be honored.
Payment Terms: Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs. Computer parts, hardware, or/and software that are ordered or special ordered must be paid in advance. Service(s) are provided in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the computer system(s) for which you request such service(s).
Reboot It accepts cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover (via Square). We also accept other online payments such as Cash App, Venmo and PayPal - let us know if you would like to pay via these apps.
