Foster Agreement
Please read:
FOSTER AGREEMENT AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY This Release, Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement is made between Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. and the foster parent who has signed this agreement below, in favor of and for the benefit of Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. and all of its officers, directors, employees and all other persons or entities doing action through them. The agreement between the foster and Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. is ongoing and Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. reserved the right to update policies at any given time. The undersigned has read and agrees to abide by all of the following: In consideration of participating as a foster parent the foster parent agrees that they are assuming certain risks and agrees to participate in fostering voluntarily, waiving, releasing and forever discharging any and all claims for damages of property or personal injury. The undersigned is aware there are no guarantees, warranties, or full knowledge of the pets that Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. acquires as to the health and temperament of the animals. The undersigned volunteer agrees to accept the animals they foster to their charge as a humanitarian act and agrees to release and hold harmless Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. from any and all liability or responsibility in connection with fostering a cat obtained by Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. If the foster has any issues with the foster animal, the foster shall make the mentor aware of these issues immediately. If the foster is unable to continue caring for their foster pet(s), the foster will make arrangements with their mentor to move the animal within two week’s time. Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. shall supply food, medical care and supplies for the foster animal. The undersigned agrees to care for the cat(s) in a responsible manner providing the food, shelter, and medical care as needed, and will restrain this pet appropriately at all times. All medical treatment shall be directed through Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. The foster understands and agrees that there are some diseases that can be spread to humans and other animals and that Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. does not guarantee the animal is free of these diseases upon entering the foster home and Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. is not responsible if said disease is spread in the foster home. The foster understands and agrees that the foster may be required to bring the foster animal to the vet for altering or any other needed vetting. The foster agrees to be made available to drive and attend the visit with the foster at a time that works for the foster and Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. The foster agrees to give 48 hours’ notice if unable to attend a vet appointment or the foster will be billed the no show/cancelation fee. The foster agrees to report all health concerns to a Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. Representative immediately and will be made available to bring the cat(s) to the vet. In addition, the foster volunteer agrees to carry the appropriate house or rental insurance on their property as required by their insurer. The foster understands and agrees that Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. and or any of its volunteers or employees will not be held responsible in the rare case that a foster cat bites a person or animal. The foster agrees that while the cat(s) in their care the foster is responsible for the actions of the animal not Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. I agree that I will report to Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. any bite (whether inflicted on a human or another animal) within 1 hour of the incident. The foster home will abide by the decision of Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. as to the disposition of the rescue animal should a bite occur. The foster understands and agrees that Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. Does, in the rare event an animal should become severely ill or aggressive, use humane euthanasia as an option. If the foster of the cat(s) has become ill or aggressive inform the foster coordinator if the foster would like to be present and/or updated on the decision of the animal. The foster parent agrees to play an active role in finding an adoptive home for any animals in their care, including to but not limited to responding to public inquiries, writing online-listings for the pet, attending adoption events and preapproving adopters based on Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. guidelines. The foster understands and agrees to be made available for meet and greets or events with potential adopters. The foster understands and agrees to work directly with potential adopters and being contacted with approved adopters. The foster will make themselves available at a minimum on the weekends for meet and greets. The foster understands and agrees that in the case the foster wants to adopt the foster cat(s) a Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. representative must be notified immediately so it can be considered. If a meet and greet is already set up with another family then the foster does not have the option to adopt. Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. shall do its best to supply all food, medical and pet supplies for the foster cat(s). If there are additional items needed, the foster volunteer must seek pre-approval for purchase from the Foster Coordinator or the Board; this includes items such as grooming. Reimbursements will not be made for any purchased supplies without prior consent. The foster parent is held to a level of confidentiality regarding personal information about adopters or other matters that fosters, volunteers, and board members may discuss in meetings and via the group email(s)/message(s). If the foster finds any of these matters to impugn the character of the organization or its members, the foster shall bring it to the attention of their Foster Coordinator or the Board; all of which are still held to the standard of confidentiality. Through the foster’s words or actions, the foster shall not place Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. in a poor light in the community. The foster shall grant Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. the use of the Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. cats’ image or likeness in connection with the volunteer experience, for the benefit of the organization. The foster agrees and understands that the foster may not give, lease, sell or otherwise transfer custody of the rescue animal to anyone while it is under the foster homes care. Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. will retain ownership of all foster animals and will make final decisions (with the input of the foster home) regarding adoption or euthanasian. I understand that Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. may, as it deems necessary, make visits to the foster home to check on the foster animal status. Should Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp. decide that the foster animal requires any behavioral training or medical attention, the foster home agrees to abide by Right Meow Rescue ROC Corp.’s decision(s). The foster understands and agrees that while the foster is in their home and under their care that the foster is responsible and liable for the animal(s)’ actions.BY SIGNING THE FOSTER UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES TO HOLD HARMLESS Right Meow Rescue LLC. its employees, agents, members, directors, officers, or any affiliated entities thereof, from ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE, OR COST INCLUDING BODILY INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE FOSTERING OF AN ANIMAL FROM RIGHT MEOW RESCUE ROC CORP.
