Age Requirement: Must be Academy 4 as of Jan 2025 and age 13 by Aug 1, 2026
Other Requirements:
- Attendance at Summer Intensive 2025 and 2026.
- Attendending summer dance classes 2025 and 2026 (as many as possible).
- Attendance of any special workshops or classes offered to be prepared for NY.
- Audition for Spring Company 2025 and 2026.
Chaperoning: Any parent/guardian that wishes to chaperone, is more than welcome. Please keep in mind, chaperones are responsible for several dancers, not just their own child. This trip is a NY dance trip, and therefore, special parent/child excursions will not be an option. If you have family or other events you would like to do as a parent/child, you can do those after or before the dance trip. Chaperones oversee their own trip financially.

How it Works:
Step 1: Contract must be signed, committing to the New York Trip, due BEFORE Feb 1, 2025.
Step 2: $145 per month, Feb 2025 through July 2026, will automatically be added to your online account and charged the first of every month for the New York Trip (regardless of your portal membership type or epayment schedule).
Step 3: Balances are expected to be paid monthly, which include tuition, costumes, merchandise, and the New York trip.
Step 4: What if a dancer decides to back out of the New York trip?
o All fundraising money will be credited back to RMDT.
o Fundraising opportunities to be discussed.
o Before August 31, 2025; New York payments can be reimbursed, keeping in mind all fundraising money goes back to RMDT if you choose to cancel your trip.
o On September 1, 2025; $300.00 of your payment cannot be reimbursed regardless of the reason a trip was cancelled. Other payments, minus $300.00, can be reimbursed unless arrangements have already been made. For example, once the hotel is booked, the cost of hotel is no longer refundable regardless of reason for not attending.
Please keep in mind, not only are many of the expenses non-refundable, arranging this trip is extremely time-consuming and each time the number of attendees change all the arrangements must change, therefore, it is important to understand the commitment you are making to this trip if you choose to attend.
Fundraising Opportunities:
Fundraising is optional. All funds raised through fundraising will be added to individual dancer’s accounts as a credit to your account and applied to their NY Trip.
1. Candles Fall 2024 and Candles Fall 2025
a. 25% of dancer’s profited sales are applied to dancer’s account.
2. 2024-2025 Rifle Raffle (1 for $25; 3 for $100)
a. $5.00 for every raffle ticket sold
3. Golden Ticket 2025 and 2026 (1 for $50, 3 for $125)
a. Spring Company Dancers are required to sell 6 golden tickets. These tickets are included as a part of dancers first 10 tickets.
o First 20 tickets sold: $10 per ticket will be applied to dancer’s account.
o Additional Tickets sold: $15 per ticket will be applied to dancer’s account.
Example
· Liz sells 25 Golden Tickets
· 1-20= $200
· 21-25= $75
· TOTAL: $275 applied to her account
