5o years back on every 22nd April, the world has joined energies to create awareness about the Earths’ vulnerability and take deliberate actions on individual themes to rehabilitate and sustain a health planet that can sustain humanity. Annually, a theme is selected to address the most pressing crisis of the time. This year, it is Climate Crisis and COVID-19. Since 1970, people have gathered to celebrate the day, until today when the pandemic has forced us to social distancing, and the Earth day has gone Digital.
As Single Monday single TREE team we’re therefore joining the Global Earth day NETWORK through a Digital event campaign where we’re stressing our paths in building a vigilant young generation with sound competencies to continue demanding a healthy planet by ensuring young people’s engagement. Specifically, we’re emulating the UNEP Executive Director Dr. Inger Andersen’s message “they are 3 things that can change the world” 1) Invest in nature 2) Change our habits & 3) Listen to the young people, Listen to the young people. Right here we have a theme “The relevance and role of young people in the present climate crisis actions”
This time, we’re activating synergies from multitude of influencers from small to broader networks to raise green Voices on local and global to boldly create a healthy planet by sharing knowledge, raise action ideas, and take climate actions pledges to create and demand bold action for our planet to thrive.
To collect and unite green voices, we’re collecting your ideas through a min survey to produce you a poster that all together shall share. Posters will be shared on various global platforms, and social medias and together we shall be creating alertness as we demand a healthy planet we want to thrive, for today and for generation ahead.
