Water based activities (including but not limited to surfing, sailing, snorkelling, swimming, kayaking, water skiing)

– Drowning.

– Damage to skin (cuts, bruises, grazes & pressure injuries).

– Injury due to poor manual handling.

– Injury from faulty equipment.

– Aggravation of previous or existing illnesses or injuries.

– Accidents with equipment or other people.

– Injury from not using equipment with correct technique or for its intended purpose.

– Sunburn and exposure to weather.

– Blue bottle stings or other flora or fauna related injuries.

Use of equipment to access recreational activities including adaptive surfboards and water wheelchairs

– Injury from faulty equipment.

– Injury from accident while using equipment.

– Injury from falling off equipment.

– Injury from colliding with another equipment user/ pedestrian/ another road user.

– Aggravation of previous or existing illnesses or injuries.

– Injury from not using the equipment with the correct clothing/footwear, correct technique or not using the equipment for its intended purpose.

– Damage to skin (cuts, bruises, grazes & pressure injuries).

– Sunburn and exposure to weather.
