    Join Kamilaroi/Gamilaraay artist Dennis Golding for a full-day wearable art workshop celebrating identity, creativity and pride.

    Presented by Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance and supported by Museums & Galleries of NSW, this creative experience invites LGBTQIA+ people to explore identity, creativity and pride by designing and creating a personalised wearable artwork.

    The workshop will be held on Friday, 11 December 2026 at The Gallery, Coffs Harbour.

    Participation by Expression of Interest.

    Open to all LGBTQIA+ people aged 18 years and over.

    We especially encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply.

  • What happens next?

    Expressions of Interest close at 5.00 pm on Monday, 2 November 2026.

    Applicants will be notified of the outcome by Monday, 9 November 2026.

    Successful participants will receive:

    • Confirmation of their place
    • Workshop program and event information
    • Payment instructions
    • Accessibility and dietary questionnaire
    • Media consent form
    • Exhibition information

    Submitting an Expression of Interest does not guarantee a place in the workshop.

    As places are limited, applications will be reviewed to create a welcoming and diverse group of participants.

    Successful applicants must be available to attend the full-day workshop on Friday, 11 December 2026.

    All wearable artworks (capes) created during the workshop will be professionally exhibited at The Gallery for a minimum of eight (8) weeks before being returned to participants.

    A subsidised participation fee of $20 applies to successful applicants.  

    If the participation fee would prevent you from taking part, please let us know when accepting your place.  Additional financial assistance may be available for participants experiencing financial barriers.

    The information you provide will only be used by Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance to administer the Wear Your Power project and will not be shared with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.
