ABOUT THE EVENT:
For the past 30 years, the Knoxville Award has surprise recognized an outstanding person who repeatedly demonstrates great care for the Knoxville community and its citizens.

WHO DOES THIS BENEFTI?
Senior Citizens Home Assistance Service, Inc. (SCHAS) is unique from other caregiving agencies in that we are the only organization in East Tennessee that offers equitable access financial aid to older adults and adults with disabilities who need in-home caregiving services so that they can be able to live safely in their homes and age in place. Our full fee rate is $32 per hour which is lower than most for-profit caregiving agencies. However, many of our clients live below the 150% federal poverty guideline and simply cannot afford that rate but desperately need the services. Proceeds from this event go to support this program.
