    About the projects: 

    As part of the European Solidarity Corps initiative, we are seeking enthusiastic long-term volunteers to join us at the “Common Sense” Youth Organisation in Sumgait, Azerbaijan. You have the opportunity to take part in volunteering activities, according to your interests and profile. Tasks will mainly be: 

    International relations team member:

    • Assisting with follow-up activities, project writing, evaluating and interviewing candidates, Contribute to Interview and Selection Processes: Volunteers will play a crucial role in the evolution and selection of participants for Erasmus projects and other international initiatives. Through conducting interviews and evaluating candidates, volunteers will help identify individuals who demonstrate the potential to benefit from these life-changing opportunities.
    • Engage in Follow-up Activities: Volunteers will be involved in post-selection follow-up activities, ensuring that selected participants receive the necessary support, guidance, and resources as they prepare for their Erasmus projects. This may involve providing mentorship, organizing training sessions, and facilitating communication between participants and project coordinators.
    • Collaborate with the ESC Team: Volunteers will work closely with the European Solidarity Corps team at Common Sense Youth Organisation, assisting with administrative tasks, project coordination, and communication with partner organizations. This hands-on experience will provide volunteers with valuable insights into the operation of international projects and the ESC framework.

    Eco & healthy lifestyle team member:

    • Environmental Education: Teach others about ecological concepts, such as recycling, conservation, biodiversity, and climate change, through workshops, presentations, and educational materials.
    • Environmental Cleanup Campaigns: Participate in or organize environmental cleanup campaigns to remove litter and debris from natural areas such as beaches, parks, rivers, and forests.
    • Tree Planting: Help plant trees in areas where there aren't enough. This makes the environment healthier, provides homes for animals, and helps fight against cutting down too many trees.

    Public relations team member:

    • Photo and video shooting for daily activities.
    • Create Compelling Visual Content: Your eye for design and multimedia skills will be put to good use in creating visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia materials. These materials will captivate our audience and reinforce our brand identity across various platforms.
    • Assist the PR Manager: You'll work closely with our PR Manager, providing support in executing social media strategies and managing our online presence. Together, you'll collaborate on content creation, community engagement, and performance analysis to achieve our PR goals.
    • Monitor and Analyse: Keeping a close eye on social media metrics will be key. You'll track our performance, analyze what's working (and what's not), and use those insights to continuously improve our strategy and results. 

    Accommodation and costs are fully covered by the project budget. 

    • Travel costs will be covered according to the distance calculation of the EU.
    • Volunteers will get monthly 250 AZN (~150 €) for food and 6 € per day pocket money.
    • Accommodation is provided in the "Yuxu co-living" space. Volunteers will stay in an individual room with wifi, a common kitchen and a bathroom. At the house, all facilities are available.
    • Insurance is covered by the European Solidarity Corps (Henner Insurance).
    • We will provide some amount for local transportation cost and bicycle.

    Profile of Participants:

    • 18 and 30 years old young people 
    • Enthusiastic, active, with some experience in these fields, or strongly motivated to learn.
    • Should either be interested in providing non-formal education,
    • Organization of cultural events, or social media & project coordination.
    • Able to communicate in English, so speaking and understanding the English language is important.
    • To share the values of our organization: transcultural, inclusive, anti-discriminative approach, and open-minded to cultural differences.
    • Should be available and motivated to stay for a year.
