Since 1922, the dynamic women of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. have built and sustained a well-known and well-respected reputation for leading positive change to help uplift the community through sisterhood, leadership, and service. 2022 is our centennial year and in this time Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. has diligently served, led, and championed causes and changes that directly impact local, regional, national, and international communities.
In commemoration of this historic accomplishment of 100 years in service, the Notable Northeastern Region through the vision and leadership of our 23rd Regional Syntaktes, Thomasina Gore, Esq. is proud to offer The Notable Scholarship of Excellence – $100,000 for 100 years of unforgettable sisterhood,
service, and scholarship to the community.
Ignited by the intentionality and foresight of our founders, seven young educators who understood the power of education and its benefit to community advancement and change, the Northeastern Region will award this one-time $100,000 scholarship to financially support the collegiate aspirations of a deserving young woman or man. The goal of this one-time centennial Northeastern Region scholarship is to support and help secure a pathway to excellence for the next generation and continue to hold the torch high for “Greater Service, Greater Progress”.
