Foster Enquiry
Shelly's Place Animal Rescue is looking for new foster carer's to join the team! Our foster program provides temporary homes to animals who need a helping hand. This might be because these animals are too small or young to be adopted, recovering from illness or surgery, or to help them learn to trust people and thrive in a home environment. Becoming a foster carer is an incredibly rewarding experience and makes a real difference in an animal's life.
Foster Care Requirements
We ask that you are aged 18 or older, with all residents of your household agreeing to foster animals. You must be able to provide a safe, secure environment for fostered animals and ensure that cats remain indoors at all times. Foster carers are required to transport animals to vet appointments in reliable transport and an approved carrier. Vet fees are covered by Shelly's Place Animal Rescue. You must be committed to providing daily care for the animals you are fostering, including food, litter and regular socialisation. Communicate openly and in a timely fashion with your fostering coordinator, including providing high quality photos and videos for marketing purposes.

At Shelly's Place we love a foster fail- we think it's the ultimate success! Adoption fees are still required even if the cat is adopted by the foster carer.
I am fostering to adopt and agree to pay the full adoption fee.
I am planning on fostering only, but if I fall in love, I will pay the adoption fee.
I understand that if I keep a cat and have not been through the proper Adoption process, including signing a legally binding contract and paying the adoption fee, Shelly's Place Animal Rescue will take legal action to recover the animal.

I do not want to proceed
I understand that I will be required to sign a Foster care Contract which will be emailed to me after my foster enquiry is successful.
