• Heartful Helper Application

    It takes a village to make the festivals happen! Our "Heartful Helpers" Work Exchange program is for those interested in holding sacred spaces, maintaining the flow and function. Our events would not be possible without you. It is because of volunteers that so many people are able to come play, practice, heal, and discover true union (yoga) with themselves and others. This program is particularly useful to those with financial challenges, as a festival ticket is provided free of charge in exchange for your service.

  • The Application & Confirmation Process

    1. Start by filling out the application. There is no hard deadline; we will keep accepting applications until the program fills!

    2. The Work Exchange Coordinator will review your application and send you an invitation to participate on a specific team(s) based on your availability, interest and skillset.

    3. To accept the invitation/confirm your participation, pay the $10-$20* Non-Refundable Work Exchange Deposit. Paying the deposit authorizes Shift Happens Volunteers to place a $250 hold on the card used to pay the deposit the week of the festival. As long as you complete the work requirement and uphold the Code of Conduct, the hold is released and funds are returned to your account. The deadline to confirm is September 1st, 2024.

    4. Closer to the event, the Work Exchange Coordinator will invite you to sign up for shifts within your assigned teams and send you information regarding arrival, camping, check-in, etc.

    The Work Exchange

    • Team Descriptions 👇 

    • Operations - Crucial in making the festival happen! Extra helping hands doing set up and break down of the festival. Must be equipped to be outside in the heat. Construction, electrical, and plumbing experience is a big bonus but not necessary.

      Vendors / Sponsors - Assist with vendor and sponsor set-up, management, registration and vendor check ins during event. Be comfortable interacting with people in a fast-paced environment. Must be available all day on Thurs. May 1st. Also looking for volunteers who are able to stay for breakdown on Mon. May 6th. Much of your hours will be fulfilled on set-up day, leaving more time to enjoy the festival.

      Box Office - Bring your biggest smile and some patience, you will be the first point of contact when our guests arrive! Duties may include scanning tickets in, customer service, line-management and traffic flow.

      Merch - Responsible for handling of performer and festival merchandise during the festival weekend. This crew maintains accurate records at all times, keeps track of performer consignments, manages inventory.

      Stagehands - Transport equipment on/off stage, help stage manager to assist bands in any ways necessary, and keep the show running smoothly. Must be able to assist in lifting heavy objects and follow directions.

      Hall Hands - Help keep the yoga halls and workshop halls tidy in between classes, assist with any set-up for the presenters, and hold space for practice!

      Gatekeepers - Gatekeepers check credentials at our Wristband Checkpoints and are experts at greeting music lovers with big smiles!

      Camping & Parking - Greet arriving guests and guide them to a parking spot or their campsite.

      Kidsland Krew - Hang out with the awesome Bhakti kiddos doing arts and crafts, yoga, and so many more fun activities. Must have approval prior to confirmation.

      Hospitality - Assist with artist and staff check-in, keep green rooms tidy and stocked, assist stage hands, make runs for the green room manager, and anything else needed!

      Green Team - Calling all lovers of trash, and nurturers of mother nature. Help out our awesome green team with tidying up the festival grounds, sorting trash and recycling, and educating festival goers on how to leave it better than you found it.

      Volunteer HQ - Support the overall volunteer program by assisting with volunteer arrival and checking folks in and out of their shifts.

      Roamers - Don’t see a specific area that you are attached to? Just want to be of general service? Sign up to be a roamer, we will send you where we most need you (we appreciate you!)

  • You must plan to have a chaperone for your child in order to volunteer ⚠️

  • Thank you for planning ahead to have childcare during your shifts! When you submit an application, an email will be sent to the Volunteer Coordinator so they are aware of your parental situation.
