    Shih Tzu Lovins LLC
  • Welcome to Shih Tzu Lovin's application process for a puppy.  Each of our puppies deserves a long and nurturing home to thrive in.  We have developed an application process to ensure that our puppies find their "forever" homes with families who will continue to provide them with the best start in their lives.

You must continue doing the obedience routines and follow our practices with your puppy regularly to retain this learning.

  • What to Expect

Completing the application is the first step in the process to acquiring a puppy from Shih Tzu Lovins.  It does not guarantee a puppy.  The breeder reserves the right to refuse any placement at any time.  If your application is a good fit, you will be notified.

By completing the application, you are automatically registered and placed on the waitlist. You will then receive updates about the upcoming litters.

We accept deposits of $500 on the gender and color preference.  Deposits can be placed on upcoming litter wait lists to secure your spot.  All deposits are non-refundable.

We do accept money order or check for non-refundable deposits, $500.

    CHOOSING YOUR PUPPY:

It first begins with a deposit on a litter.  Our puppies are in high demand. If you wait until there are pictures of the puppies, you may miss out on selection from the litter. We accept deposits once the announcement of a pregnancy takes place.  Picking your puppy depends on the order of deposits.  It is run first-come, first served.  So first deposit gets first pick by sex, then color. You have 24 hours to pick your puppy before we move on to the next person. Shih Tzu Lovins reserves the right to keep first pick on each litter for ourselves if we feel a puppy would be an asset to our breeding program. While waiting for pups to be born, a deposti allows you to have picking order.

    GOTCHA DAY:

Pickups are scheduled based on the deposit order.  On gotcha day, a scheduled time will be designated. The puppies will receive a vet check and health screening prior to your gotcha day.  The puppies can't leave until they are 8 weeks old.  It's the law, no exceptions to the law.

I will give you a date & time for puppy pick up at our residence.  It's where you can see your puppy and make your final selection.  We ask that you do not arrive any earlier than 5 minutes prior to the scheduled time.  We ask that you do NOT come in until the previous family leaves with their puppy.  Each families time is for just that family.  If you are late, you will forfeit your time to get to know the puppy, ask questions, etc.

If I am not able to reach you for puppy pick, you will forfeit your place in the line for picking a pup.

Pupplies will receive a vet check at 8 weeks and their first immunization.  Puppies will be picked up on the day and time selected by the Breeder.

All of our pups will have the dew claws they are born with.

We have a contract and will not place puppy dog without a signed contract. It is so we are both clear on the expectations being a pet owner or guardian home.

We have a take-back policy.  Any dog from our home always has a home here. We take a cradle-to-grave "original home" responsibility for our puppies & dogs. We do not want them going to unknown homes, rescues, or shelter.

We feed Viva Raw and/or All Provide Puppy food, it is a gently cooked raw diet. We recommend you continue with the raw food diet for a healthier puppy dog.  We believe raw is the best & it's included in our heatlh guarantee.

All pups must be spayed or neutered when they are full grown.  Typically this is at the minimum of 10 months old.  If getting full AKC registration, this is the only time the puppy dog can be bred.
