SHINE Medicare Counseling

The Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) Program is available to provide free, unbiased help for Florida Medicare beneficiaries as they carefully evaluate their health care options.

SHINE volunteer counselors through the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco & Pinellas, Inc. provide free, unbiased one-on-one insurance counseling and information on Medicare options and prescription drug assistance for elders, their families, and caregivers.

Local counselors are available to speak with you in-person, by phone, or Zoom. To speak confidentially with a local SHINE Medicare counselor. Complete the form below, select an appointment, and then click the submit button below.

Library program location: All appointments on November 21 will be held at Harborside Christian Church, Partnership with Safety Harbor Public Library, 2200 Marshall Street, Safety Harbor, FL 34695. (2nd Floor, RM 219).

All other appointments will be held at the Safety Harbor Public Library in the Conference Room. Call 727-724-1525 x.4107 for information or questions.
