  •  TUTORS MUST HAVE:

    • Faculty recommendation from a Cuesta College English faculty member
    • B or better in the courses to be tutored: English 180, 201A, 201B, 201C
    • Unofficial transcripts submitted along with the application

    Required:

    • Minimum 2.0 GPA
    • Minimum 1 year commitment to tutor (excludes embedded tutoring)
    • Enrollment/completion of a 5-week online Tutor Training course (to be completed within 2 semesters of hiring)
      • CSS 168: 1 credit course
      • CSS 768: noncredit course
    • Completion of English 201A preferred. If you have not taken it, a demonstration of experience with 201A concepts is required in the interview.

  • Faculty Recommendation

  • A faculty recommendation is required to apply for this tutoring position. Please indicate below the name and email address of the faculty member who will be recommending you. If you are wanting to tutor mulitple subjects (ex. Math, Chem) then a recommendation is required per area of discipline.

     The Faculty named will receive an email with further information.

    It is YOUR responsibilty to ensure that the faculty member completes the tasks we ask of them.
