POD LEADERSHIP ROLES

What leadership roles might you be interested in?

POD LEADER - Pod leaders hold the 'lead' role(s) for a pod of 5-15 singers. The pod leader recruits those people to join singing actions together, is well versed in the Singing Resistance materials (has been trained, utilizes the toolkit), is connected or can get connected to local organizing efforts, and coordinates the other roles. We recommend 1-2, ideally 2, pod leads.
SONG LEADER - Song leaders use their talents to lead songs at actions or gatherings, by guiding everyone in song. They support people in getting lyrics sheets or whatever they need to learn the songs. Note: some pod leaders may be song leaders, but not all song leaders have to be pod leaders.
ACTION PLANNER - These folks plan the actions: purpose, routes, marshalls, snacks, medics, etc.
COMMUNITY NURTURER - Nourish the singers through warm welcomes, snacks, and intentional time for community building. May also plan additional gatherings for deeper connection. They also ensure that the needs of the pod are being met, with regards to security / safety issues.
GATHERING/REHEARSAL FACILITATOR - Responsible for guiding the gathering through with regards to purpose, timing, and quality. They propose an agenda for a gathering that the other roles can provide feedback/consent for.
COMMUNICATOR - people who film the actions, share video of the actions on social media, create outreach flyers, manage Instagram accounts, etc.
