• SKC Housing Application Form

  • Application Process: Applications are ranked on a point system. In order to earn maximum points, applicants must enroll as full-time students at SKC and submit the following:

    1. This Housing Application
    2. Copy of tribal I.D./Verification or First Generation Tribal Descendant Certification
    3. A letter of interest stating why you are requesting Student Housing
    4. A reference letter regarding the previous rental experience or a character reference letter
    5. Copy of transcripts showing G.P.A. from previous quarter
    6. Copy of TRIO acceptance letter (optional, for additional points)

    ***Note: Please submit all necessary documents via email to housing.skc.edu or a hard copy in person with your application.

    Maximum occupation 6 people

    4 Bedroom: $750/month
    Maximum occupation 8 people

    Overpopulation of unit is not permitted.

  • Family Housing Applicants: If you are applying for Family Housing, fill out the information below for everyone you would have live in the unit other than yourself. Only immediate family may occupy SKC Student Housing units.

    Immediate family is defined by Housing as the spouse and children of Head of Household, with exceptions on a case-by-case basis for adult family members who are also enrolled as full-time students at SKC.

    Children must be under the age of 18 or you must ATTACH proof of the child’s high school enrollment.

  • Criminal Conviction

  • Any applicant who has acknowledged that they or any member of their household has been convicted of a felony, repeated offences, or designated as a violent or sexual offender must disclose their offence. Additional documentation may be requested. You must apply and be accepted into SKC prior to being added to any SKC Housing waitlists. Approval or denial of your application will be under the discretion of SKC Housing Office and Administration.

  • To be considered for Salish Kootenai College Student Housing, you must complete this application and return it to the SKC Student Housing Office. Submit your application as early as possible prior to needing housing. Applications will be ranked on a point system with priority given to those who have submitted all the necessary documentation.

    When a unit becomes available, the Housing Department will contact the applicant with the highest points for the size of the unit. The applicant will have 7 days to present receipt for deposit or make arrangements for the deposit in order to claim and hold the unit. For more information on this process and requirements, please read the "Qualifying for Housing section of the Student Housing Handbook", available on the Housing webpage www.skc.edu/HOUSING or contact the SKC Student Housing Department.

  • Off-Campus Housing: An off-campus housing list and resource guide is available on the Housing website www.skc.edu/HOUSING or by calling the Housing Department.

  • I understand that it is my responsibility to keep my address, phone number, and any other changes updated and current with the SKC Student Housing Department.

    I declare that I have read and understand the information in this application and that the information I have provided in this application for Salish Kootenai College Student Housing is true and complete to the best of my knowledge. I hereby authorize Salish Kootenai College to obtain any and all information necessary for the purpose of verifying the statements made. Furthermore, I understand the falsification or omission of any information is grounds for disqualification of my application or termination of my rental agreement. I understand that I must be a full-time student at all times to occupy Salish Kootenai College Student Housing.
