Swansea Mosque Academy Policy
Attendance and Punctuality
-
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that students attend regularly and arrive on time for every class. Regular lateness may affect a student’s learning and progress.
-
Students are expected to maintain a high level of attendance. If a student is unable to attend, parents or guardians should inform the Academy as soon as possible.
Holidays and Planned Absence
- Requests for holidays or planned absences should normally be submitted at least two weeks in advance. Approval is at the discretion of the Headteacher, taking into account the student’s attendance, progress and individual circumstances.
Parent Engagement and Learning at Home
-
The Academy aims to recognise and celebrate students’ learning, progress and achievements. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend meetings, presentations, events and other activities to which they are invited.
-
Parents and guardians are expected to support their child’s learning at home through regular practice, revision and encouragement. Effective partnership between home and the Academy plays an important role in a student’s progress.
Fees
- Academy fees are payable at the predefined exact date of each month. Parents or guardians who experience difficulty making payment should contact the Academy as soon as possible. Continued non-payment without an agreed arrangement may result in the student’s place being withdrawn.
Communication and Working Together
-
Parents and guardians are encouraged to maintain regular communication with the Academy. If you have concerns or questions about your child’s learning, progress, wellbeing or Academy experience, please contact us so that these can be addressed appropriately.
-
Official Academy communications will normally be sent by email and WhatsApp. Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that the Academy has their current contact details and for checking Academy communications regularly.
