Wachuma Ceremony with Victoria Maná
We are honored to welcome Victoria Maná to Mu Garden Sanctuary for two sacred Wachuma Master Plant Ceremonies on Saturday, August 22nd and Saturday, August 29th.
Victoria Maná is a Janpi Awaq (Medicine Weaver) and Chakawarmi (Bridge Woman) from Patagonia, Argentina. Her life's work is devoted to the Master Plants of the Andes and the sacred art of offerings (Despacho) for the reconnection of territories, peoples, and the living body of Mother Earth. She is the creator of Killa Chaka Warmi, a study of the Chakana as an ancestral calendar for understanding the menstrual and lunar cycles, and co-creator of Warmi Ñan, a pilgrimage dedicated to recovering the ancestral healing traditions of women across sacred territories.
Through decades of study and initiation within Andean lineages, Victoria carries forward ancestral ceremonial practices that help restore our relationship with the Earth during this new cycle of humanity—the Pachakuti of Light. Her work serves as a bridge between the ancestral wisdom of the Andes and communities throughout the world.
About the Ceremony
This ceremonial journey is guided by the sacred design of the Chakana (Andean Cross), an ancient symbol that decodes the relationship between time, space, and the cycles of life. Throughout the night we journey with the Wachuma Master Plant, accompanied by traditional Andean ceremonial medicines including Mama Coca, Sacred Tobacco, Chicha (traditional fermented corn), and Mama Willka.
The ceremony includes prayer with coca leaves, energetic purification with sacred tobacco, perfumes, incense, and medicinal plants, following traditional Andean-Amazonian ceremonial techniques. Throughout the evening, a living Despacho (offering) is woven together in prayer and gratitude, honoring our relationship with the seen and unseen worlds. At dawn, this sacred offering is presented to the Earth, followed by a sharing circle and a communal breakfast.
Within the Andean cosmology, these Master Plants are revered as ancient spirit teachers that have accompanied humanity throughout our evolution. Through their guidance we are invited into expanded states of consciousness, journeying through the Four Pachas (Worlds) while remembering our place within the great web of life. The ceremony begins at sunset and continues through sunrise, including teachings of the Andean worldview, energy cleansings, sacred songs and prayers, and the culminating dawn offering.
Pilgrimage to Hawaiʻi
Victoria's pilgrimage to Hawaiʻi is part of a long-held prayer to reconnect the sacred territories of the South with those of the North. For more than five years, she has traveled throughout the Americas weaving relationships with Indigenous elders, wisdom keepers, and communities dedicated to the remembrance of ancestral ways. The art of offering that she carries creates a living dialogue with the land itself, helping restore our relationship with the energetic body of Pachamama, our Great Mother Earth.
We are deeply honored to receive this lineage at Mu Garden Sanctuary as we continue building bridges between Indigenous cultures and remembering our shared responsibility as caretakers of the Earth.
Participant Information
This ceremony is offered in a traditional ceremonial container and lasts from sunset until the following morning. Because Wachuma is a powerful Master Plant, all participants are required to complete the registration form in full. Please disclose all current medications, medical conditions, treatments, and any physical or mental health concerns. Each application will be reviewed in advance to ensure the ceremony is appropriate and safe for your participation.
We welcome you to gather in prayer, healing, and remembrance as we weave ourselves back into the circle of existence and into right relationship with Mother Earth.
