The Southwest Belmont Community Association, Inc., will award (1) $5,000, (1) $2,500 scholarship, and (1) $1,000 book scholarship to a rising college freshman, sophomore or junior.
To be eligible for the Anne M. Garrott Scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a CURRENT STUDENT IN COLLEGE with a GPA of 3.0 or above
- Show leadership potential and have past community service
- Be a student from an underrepresented group
- Demonstrate financial need
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The following items must be uploaded in the Essay and Documentation section to constitute a completed application:

An application that includes a personal essay answering a prescribed question in no more than 500 words

Two (2) letters of recommendation from professors, community members, or religious leaders

An official transcript from the most recently completed semester or quarter of college

Proof of student’s enrollment in the current semester or quarter (e.g. a paid bill)

Proof of family income (acceptable documents include copies of the applicant’s OR parent/guardian(s) 2023 W-2 statement(s) or tax return)
All students who receive scholarship funds must sign a verification form indicating that the funds will be used only for higher education expenses (e.g. tuition, room and board, or other related expenses).

DEADLINE: APPLICATIONS & SUPPORTING INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2024.
Applications received after May 31, 2024 will not be reviewed. Please allow enough time for delivery. Incomplete application packets will not be accepted. All provided information will remain strictly confidential and used exclusively for the purposes of evaluation.
