Applicants to the S.E.L.F. Legal Aid Program must live in Connecticut, have a current IEP, and have gross income of less than 125% of the Federal Minimum Poverty Level (FMPL).  THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES LEGAL AID THROUGH S.E.L.F.'S STAFF ATTORNEY ONLY.  THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT PROVIDE GRANTS TO PAY AN OUTSIDE ATTORNEY. DO NOT SUBMIT MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS OF THIS FORM. MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS WILL RESULT IN THE DELETION OF ALL OF YOUR PRESCREENS.

    You must submit your student's CURRENT (valid for the current school year) IEP with the application. If you had an IEP several years ago and it was removed or withdrawn for any reason, you must answer NO. If your student's IEP is in process or you only have a 504 Plan, you must answer NO.
