    I, the undersigned parent or legal guardian, grant approval for my child's participation in all activities organized by SPJST and Hermann Sons Life Camp during the selected camp. These activities may include swimming, arts, hiking, sports, and other events.

    In consideration for SPJST and Hermann Sons Life Camp accepting my child's participation, I acknowledge and assume all risks and hazards associated with the activities. I release, absolve, and hold harmless SPJST and Hermann Sons Life Camp, along with their officers, directors, staff, agents, and representatives, from any liability for injuries to my child during travel to, participation in, or return from the selected camp sessions.

    In the event of injury to my child, I waive all claims against SPJST and Hermann Sons Life Camp, including officers, directors, staff, leaders, affiliates, participants, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used for the event.

    I understand that some camp activities inherently involve the risk of injuries such as fractures, paralysis, or death. I acknowledge these risks and consent to my child's participation.

  • SPJST Rules of Conduct for Youth Activities

    SPJST maintains a reputation for integrity and fairness, providing the best protection for our members and their families. The SPJST Rules of Conduct are designed to guide your actions during youth activities. Violations may lead to disciplinary action, dismissal, and prosecution.

    Rules of Conduct

    1. Leaving SPJST activities without proper authorization.
    2. Hazing.
    3. Abusing property or equipment.
    4. Selling, giving, possessing, or using alcohol, tobacco products, illegal drugs, weapons, or fireworks.
    5. Any malicious or deliberate intent to cause harm.
    6. Stealing.
    7. Engaging in inappropriate physical or sexual behavior.
    8. Engaging in conduct constituting a felony.
    9. Insubordination, disrespect, or use of profanity.
    10. Disobeying rules in the camp guidebook.
    11. Driving a car at Camp. (Keys will be turned in to the SPJST Director of Member Engagement upon arrival.)
    12. Negligence of assigned duties. (LIT assignments)

    Consequences for Violations
    Punishment will be according to the severity of the violation. The Director of Member Engagement will determine proper punishment. Any decisions at the time of the violation will be final. Serious violations will be discussed with the youth’s parent or guardian.

    Search and Seizure
    SPJST reserves the right to inspect any youth’s belongings. Refusal to submit to inspection may result in dismissal.

  • Hermann Sons Life Camp Medical Waiver

    Medical Staffing and Services:  Our Medical Staff are comprised of registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, emergency medical technicians, or emergency responders. They have emergency first aid certification or documentation. Health Managers are at Camp all week, 24 hours a day, to care for the campers and staff. They dispense OTC and prescription medication, treat minor illness and injury, and refer patients to appropriate physicians when necessary.

    Parental Notification:  A parent or guardian will be notified if a doctor or hospital visit is required, if the camper spends a night in the clinic or for any other medical reason deemed necessary by the Health Manager. In addition, a parent or guardian will be notified in the event of severe homesickness or for any other reason deemed necessary by the Camp Director.

    Financial Responsibility:  Any medical expenses incurred at Camp for an illness or injury pre-existing before Camp will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian. We cannot be responsible for information that is not disclosed to us. Any other medical bills will be discussed with the parent or guardian on an individual basis.

    AUTHORIZATION FOR TREATMENT

    Routine Health Care and Emergency Treatment: I hereby give permission for Hermann Sons Life Camp and medical personnel selected by the Camp to provide routine health care; to administer medication, including any over-the-counter medications Camp medical personnel deem necessary; to order tests, X-rays and treatment; to release any records necessary for reporting purposes; and to provide or arrange any necessary transportation for my child.

    Emergency Contact and Treatment Authorization: In the event I cannot be reached in an emergency, I hereby give permission to the physician and health care facility selected by the Camp to secure and administer treatment, including hospitalization, for the person named in this document.

    Health Information Accuracy and Activity Permission:  I also attest that all information included in this form is correct and accurately reflects the health status of the camper to whom it pertains, so far as I know, and the person described has permission to engage in all Camp activities unless otherwise noted.

    Information Sharing and Consent to Photocopy:  I understand the information on this form will be shared on a “need to know” basis with Camp staff. I give permission to photocopy this form.

  • Camp Fees and Payment Information

  • Registration Fee (Due at Registration)
    A non-refundable registration fee is required to reserve your camper’s spot. An invoice for the remaining balance will be emailed after registration.

    Final Payment Deadline:
    All remaining camp fees must be paid by June 1, 2026, to keep your camper’s spot.

    Non-Member - $875

    • $50 registration fee
    • $825 remaining balance due by June 1, 2026

    Non-Active Youth Member - $775
    (Youth with an SPJST certificate who are not active in youth club activities)

    • $50 registration fee
    • $725 remaining balance due by June 1, 2026

    Active Youth Member - as low as $25 with Youth Activity Credits and Raffle Ticket Credits (see below)
    (Youth actively participating in an SPJST youth club)

    • $25 registration fee
    • $225 remaining balance due by June 1, 2026

  • Ways to Reduce Camp Fees (SPJST Youth Members Only)
    Youth Activity Credits (Active Members)
    Active youth members can earn credits by participating in SPJST youth activities.

    • Each activity earns a $75 credit
    • Up to 7 credits ($525 total) may be earned
    • The Home Office will invoice for any remaining balance after credits are applied

    Raffle Ticket Credits (Active and Non-Active Members)
    Youth members may also reduce their camp fee by selling raffle tickets.

    • Each ticket sold = $10 credit toward camp fees
    • Registration fees cannot be reduced

    Refund Policy
    Camp fees (excluding the registration fee) are refundable until May 15, 2026.
    No refunds will be issued after May 15.
