Background

This new industry initiative is helping to attract, develop and retain People in Dairy, paving a pathway that supports job-seekers to successfully build their careers with dairy farm employers.

What support is available to dairy farmers?

Until mid 2021, farmers can access assistance to:
- set up a farm on Dairy Passport
- access Dairy Australia resources relating to training and development, human resources, farm safety and COVID-19
- use the onboarding tool in Dairy Passport to bring new employees into the business during their first 90 days
- discuss how to develop on-farm capability through coaching and training new employees using Dairy Passport
- edit industry generated standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policy templates to individual dairy farms on Dairy Passport
- share SOPs/policies with employees to agree to using Dairy Passport
- create compliance records and reports in Dairy Passport
- access local support via Regional Development Programs
