Summer Night Sports was created to provide a fun, safe, and positive experience for our community. While we enjoy competition, the primary goal of this program is sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game.
All players, parents, guardians, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times.

Players participating in Summer Night Sports agree to:

• Show respect to coaches, referees, teammates, and opponents at all times.
• Follow instructions from coaches and league staff.
• Demonstrate good sportsmanship whether winning or losing.
• Refrain from arguing with referees or questioning officiating decisions.
• Avoid trash talking, taunting, or disrespectful behavior toward others.
• Play safely and avoid unnecessary physical contact or aggressive play.
• Represent Summer Night Sports in a positive way both on and off the court.

Players who fail to follow these expectations may receive a warning, be removed from a game, or be suspended from the program.

All volunteers are expected to represent Summer Night Sports in a positive and respectful manner.
Volunteers agree to:

• Treat players, coaches, referees, and spectators with respect
• Promote good sportsmanship and fair play
• Follow all league safety rules and guidelines
• Avoid confrontational or inappropriate behavior
• Report injuries or safety concerns immediately

The goal of Summer Night Sports is to create a positive and welcoming environment for all participants.

Parents and spectators play an important role in creating a positive environment for youth sports. All parents and spectators agree to:

• Encourage players and support all participants in a positive manner.
• Show respect toward referees, coaches, players, and league staff.
• Allow referees to officiate games without interference.
• Avoid yelling at players, referees, or coaches.
• Promote good sportsmanship and respectful behavior.
• Remember that this program exists for fun, development, and community involvement.

Referees are often young officials who are learning and developing their skills, just like the players. Without them, games cannot take place.

All participants and spectators must respect referee decisions. Disputes, confrontations, or aggressive behavior toward referees will not be tolerated.

Players, parents, and spectators are not permitted to argue calls, confront referees, or disrupt the game due to disagreement with officiating decisions. Concerns regarding officiating should be directed to league organizers after the game, not during gameplay. All referee decisions during games are final.

Summer Night Sports uses a One Warning Rule to maintain a respectful and safe environment.

Players, parents, or spectators who display unsportsmanlike behavior may receive one verbal warning from a referee, coach, or league organizer. If the behavior continues after the warning, the individual may be:

• Removed from the game or facility
• Suspended from future games
• Banned from attending or participating in Summer Night Sports events

League organizers reserve the right to remove any individual immediately without warning if behavior is deemed aggressive, threatening, or unsafe.

Summer Night Sports has a zero tolerance policy for aggressive behavior. This includes but is not limited to:

• Verbal abuse toward referees, coaches, players, or spectators
• Threatening language or intimidation
• Physical aggression or fighting
• Harassment or bullying
• Excessive arguing or disruptive behavior

Any player, parent, or spectator engaging in this behavior may be:

• Removed from the facility immediately
• Suspended from future games
• Permanently banned from Summer Night Sports events

League organizers reserve the right to make final decisions regarding disciplinary actions.

Summer Night Sports exists to bring the community together and provide a place for players to enjoy sports and community. We ask everyone involved to remember: This program is about fun, development, and community — not just winning. Respect for others and love for the game should always come first.

Summer Night Sports is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants, including players, coaches, referees, volunteers, parents, and spectators. Sexual harassment, inappropriate conduct, or any behavior that makes others feel unsafe or uncomfortable will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

If a participant experiences or witnesses behavior that may violate this policy, it should be reported immediately to a Summer Night Sports organizer or program administrator.

Reports may be made by:

• Players
• Parents or guardians
• Coaches
• Referees
• Spectators

All reports will be taken seriously and reviewed promptly.

If a report is made, Summer Night Sports organizers will review the concern and determine appropriate action. Depending on the circumstances, actions may include:

• Verbal or written warning
• Removal from a game or event
• Suspension from participation
• Permanent removal from the program
• Notification of law enforcement if necessary

Summer Night Hoops reserves the right to take immediate action if the safety of participants is at risk.

Summer Night Sports is committed to maintaining a program where all participants feel safe, respected, and supported.

We encourage open communication and expect all members of the community to help maintain a positive and safe environment.
