    The Tech and Journalism Crisis and Emergency Mechanism is primarily designed to address journalism and media organisations’ account-related incidents and issues, such as but not limited to:

    • Account removal, suspension, and blocking
    • Mislabelling, deamplification, and promotion and monetisation restrictions
    • Repeated content moderation disputes (more than 5 “strikes”/ content moderation issues)

    Definitions for each category of incidents can be found in Annex II of the T&JM Terms of Reference, p.15.

    It is important to note that participation in this mechanism is voluntary and that there is no guarantee that reported issues and appeals will be successfully resolved.
