• Adventure Ready Youth Skills Workshops

    Teens to Trails is hosting two free outdoor skills workshops on October 3, 2026, open to any Maine high school student. Space is limited, and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are due September 15, 2026.

  • Workshop #1: Full Day Guided Rock Climbing led by Equinox Guiding Service

  • This workshop is designed for students interested in building technical climbing skills while gaining exposure to professional climbing instruction, risk management, and careers in the outdoor recreation industry. The day will focus on developing confidence climbing outdoors while introducing students to the systems, decision-making, and technical skills used by professional climbing guides.

    When: Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm

    Where: Camden Hills State Park

    Space is limited to 12 participants.

  • Workshop #2: Sea Kayak Skills & Safety Clinic led by Osprey's Echo Sea Kayaking

  • This workshop will consist of a mix of on-land and on-water instruction. The day will focus on trip planning and conditions, basics of navigation, outfitting, paddling techniques, and safety/rescues. Space is limited to 8 participants.

    When: Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

    Where: 35 Big Pond Rd, Stonington, Maine
