Entries are invited for this T&RA Tournament on the form below.  The entry fee to include all court and marking fees is £45.00 (£35.00 for 28 years old and under).  UK based amateurs entering must be members of the T&RA.  Non-members wishing to join should do so at https://www.tennisandrackets.com/about/join 

The Tournament is open to players whose LOWEST handicap at any Club on Friday 13th March 2026 is in the range 40-44 or 45-49.  The Tournament will be run in two separate groups in order to encourage greater participation by players at the upper end of the category.

 

Again this year due to demand for places over the last few years we are extending the maximum entry to 24 players over both sections of the competition and it will be on a first come first serve basis.  

The format of the tournament will be a knock-out format with matches best of 3 x 6 game sets. If we have a large entry then we won't be able to run a plate for unsuccessful first round players as in previous years. this will be reviewed depending on entry numbers.

 

Also if we have a large entry, then play on Friday from midday will be necessary, especially if you are at the higher end of each handicap bracket. Competitors must be available to play any time during the tournament, although every effort will be made to avoid specific difficulties.
