Eclipse Education Programs
On April, 8, 2024, Terre Haute will experience a total solar eclipse. No traveling necessary. Just step out your own back door and enjoy! We want to offer programs that prepare you to enjoy the eclipse safely through awareness and educational opportunities. We hope you reviewed our program options and have found something that best fit your audience wants and needs.

Please choose from the list of programs provided, and provide at least 3 different date options. We will need to check with our team's schedule of availability for the program selected.

Someone will be in contact with you in a timely manner to confirm your program reservation date and time. We look forward to sharing in this astronomical event with you!

Please note that mileage will be charged if our musuem team travels outside of Vigo County.

Outreach Policies
At least one adult from your organization must be present at all times. Some programs require additional adults to help lead activities which will be discussed upon final booking.
Discounts may apply for two or more programs on the same day. THCM accepts cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express (credit cards over the phone only).
Reservation and Cancellation Policy: Full payment is due two weeks prior to your program date unless a previously agreed upon payment timeline has been established. Up to two weeks prior to your program date, programs may be rescheduled to a new date within the same school year/season one time at no penalty. Weather-related cancellations can be rescheduled to a new date within the same school year at no penalty as long as THCM is notified within two hours of the program start time. Weather-related cancellations that aren't rescheduled into a new date within the same school year will not be refunded.
Outreach events outside of Vigo County are subject to a transportation fee of $0.67/mile round trip. Outreach events which are more than a one-hour drive from THCM are subject to an additional transportation surcharge of $15 per hour of travel round trip.
Reservation Confirmation - Thank you for requesting a THCM outreach program at your location. We will email or call you within 5 business days to discuss the details of your request including the schedule and cost. Program date and time are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email.
