  • Facilitator Agreement

  • This Facilitator Agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into by and between The A.R.T.S. Community Center ("The Center"), located at 10930 Hull St Rd Midlothian, VA  23112, and the, ("Facilitator") named below, collectively referred to as the “Parties.”

    1. Purpose
    The purpose of this Agreement is to outline the terms and conditions under which the Facilitator will provide professional services to conduct in-house classes curated and owned by The A.R.T.S. Community Center.

    2. Scope of Work
    The Facilitator agrees to lead and facilitate the assigned class(es) according to the curriculum and content curated and owned by The Center.


    The Facilitator shall provide professional expertise, instruction, and class management for the duration of the event(s).


    3. Compensation
    The Facilitator will be compensated at a rate of $75 per hour and a half (1.5) workshop (unless agreed otherwise in email form) for each hour of class conducted.


    Payment will be issued within 1-7 days following the conclusion of each class session.


    4. Ticket Sales & Promotion
    Both The Center and the Facilitator will share responsibility in promoting the class and generating ticket sales.


    The Facilitator's brand/logo will be included on the official event flyer and on The Center's event site for promotional purposes.


    5. Class Ownership
    All class content and structure are the intellectual property of The A.R.T.S. Community Center.


    The Facilitator is authorized to use the materials solely for the purpose of teaching the class on behalf of The Center.


    6. Class Roster & Cancellation
    If the class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement as determined by The Center, the event may be canceled or rescheduled at the sole discretion of The Center.


    A final decision regarding class cancellation or rescheduling will be made no later than 3 days prior to the scheduled class date.


    7. Independent Contractor
    The Facilitator is engaged as an independent contractor. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to create a partnership, joint venture, or employer-employee relationship between the Parties.


    8. Termination
    Either party may terminate this Agreement with written notice of at least [Insert notice period, e.g., 7 days] prior to the scheduled event, unless otherwise agreed.


    9. General Provisions
    This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of [Insert State].


    Any amendments to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both Parties.


    10. Working with Children
    If the Facilitator is assigned to lead or support any class involving children (under the age of 18), the Facilitator agrees to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws regarding child safety and protection.


    The Facilitator must exhibit professionalism, respect, and age-appropriate conduct at all times.


    The Center may require a background check, proof of relevant experience, and/or completion of a child safety training course as a condition of facilitating youth-oriented classes.


    Any misconduct or inappropriate behavior toward children will result in immediate termination of this Agreement.
