The Girls Are Alwrite is a Charlottesville-based nonprofit organization, established in 2018. We provide creative writing workshops to young and innovative Black and Latinx girls in the Charlottesville community. We seek to implement a platform that allows our participants to create stories that are important to them. This Summer, August 17th-20th, we will host our Second Annual Summer Mini Camp. This year we will host a week-long VIRTUAL creative writing camp that will host a series of workshops in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction genres. Our purpose: to foster a space for girls to explore the beauty of their creativity and imagination through written expression. Participants will use this camp as a place to learn, grow, and develop their writing abilities. If you are interested, please register below. Please note: This camp is open to rising 6th-12th grade girls.
