We are over the moon that we get to come along on this journey with you and will do our very best to find you the perfect pooch, fabulous feline, or any other little animal love you’re looking for.

    The Hottes Foundation has a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of all animals, domestic or otherwise. The dedication of our team shines through in our care and compassion for animals that have been abandoned, mistreated, ill and injured, and we strive to ensure each life ends up in a home where they will live happily and peacefully for the rest of their days.

    Taking this step with us has kicked off your contribution to the change this world needs to see when it comes to the welfare of all creatures, and that is something we humbly thank you for. We’re so proud of you!

    So, without further ado, let’s kick off the adoption process!

    Please see below an outline of our adoption prices. Typically, depending on the needs of the animal, these prices will include desexing, initial vaccinations, and microchipping. Instances, where these prices may change, are if the animal has suffered more serious injuries or illness and needs additional care to the specified inclusions.

    Our team will maintain transparency in all circumstances to ensure you are fully aware of any additional costs involved with the animal you wish to adopt. Please note that if your selected animal for adoption has sustained injuries or illnesses prior to coming into the care of you or THF, there may be a need for ongoing care. Please make sure you read the adoption agreement at the end of the form to ensure you are aware of all terms and conditions surrounding the adoption of the animal.

    Adoption Fees

    Dogs

    • Age 12 months or under:  $450
    • Age 12 months or over:    $350

    Cats

    • Age 12 months or under: $250
    • Age 12 months or over:   $150

      I understand and agree to the following terms of adoption.

      • I am 18 years or older and have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
      • I agree to provide the specified adoption fee in full and that this fee is non-refundable.
      • I agree that I am adopting the above-mentioned animal for the purpose of domestic companion and not for any other legal nor illegal purpose.
      • I agree to provide adequate living conditions for the animal, including but not limited to;
        • Clean drinking water
        • Adequate daily meals
        • Regular exercise
        • Adequate shelter from the elements
        • Regular health checks by a veterinarian (minimum of one check per year if nothing irregular or concerning arises)

      • I agree that I will not tie up or chain my animal under any circumstances. If I am found to have used these methods, The Hottes Foundation reserves the right to remove the animal from my care.
      • I agree to adopt the animal in his/her current health condition, including any behavioural traits.
      • The Hottes Foundation has specified to the best of their ability the temperament and behaviour of this animal, however, cannot guarantee the ongoing behaviour and temperament of the animal in his/her new environment.
      • I understand that I am not permitted, under any circumstance to authorise euthanasia of this animal. Should I become unable to care for the animal, due to medical reasons or otherwise, I agree to contact The Hottes Foundation immediately to gain further advice.
      • I agree to a 1-week trial period, during which if I find this animal is not a good fit, I will contact The Hottes Foundation to arrange collection and re-homing. I understand that I am entitled to a 50% refund of the full adoption fee should I choose to return the animal within the trial period. Following the trial period, I understand that I forfeit any right to a refund of the adoption fee. 
      • I agree that should this animal become injured or sick during or following the 2-week trial period, he or she will receive appropriate veterinary care and I agree to pay in full these costs of any such veterinary care.
      • I agree that the information I have provided to The Hottes Foundation regarding the property on which the animal is to be homed, and my ability to care for this animal is true and not misleading in any way. I acknowledge that The Hottes Foundation reserves the right to take legal action under this contract or under Australian laws should the provided information be found to be misleading or false.
      • I agree that The Hottes Foundation may inspect the property on which this animal is homed in order to ensure complete safety and security at any time after the adopted animal enters my possession, following the appropriate notice of inspection.
      • I understand and agree that any photographs I provide to The Hottes Foundation of the adopted animal by any means can be used for website and social media updates and any promotional materials unless otherwise specified and agreed to in writing by both parties.
      • I agree that the adopted animal is always permitted to wear a collar, particularly when leaving the home property.
      • I agree that should this animal not be desexed at the time of the adoption (due to age, health, or other specified reasons), that I will arrange for desexing to occur at a veterinary surgery and at a time agreed to by The Hottes Foundation.
      • I understand and agree that under no circumstances will I allow my adopted animal to fall pregnant before 6 months of age (dog), or before reaching a weight of 1kg (kitten), or if for health reasons an older animal has not been desexed. If this animal goes into season prior to the above date of desexing, I agree to contact and notify The Hottes Foundation immediately. I understand that The Hottes Foundation strictly does not permit the breeding of adopted animals (male or female) under any circumstance. The Hottes Foundation reserves the right to remove this animal from your care should you be found to be using for breeding purposes.
      • I agree that if this animal has not received its full course of vaccinations at the time of adoption, I will not introduce him/her to other animals inside or outside the adoption home. Should there be other animals residing in the adoption home, I agree to maintain separation of the adopted animal until full vaccinations have been provided.
      • I agree never to sell, trade, nor surrender my adopted animal to any other parties external to The Hottes Foundation.
